Hopefully you had time to get dressed, so you didn't walk outside bear-naked. Just hope it doesn't turn into an unbearable situation for you. But, like they say sometimes you have to just grin and bear it.

I think that you should put a strip of black duct tape inside your vest. Next time you see him, pat him on the back as you walk by...with the duct tape in your hand. That should cover up the "f" word and once he finds it..who knows when, he might realize it is offensive and do something about it. My PGR vest is strictly a PGR vest with military, MIA, PGR, memoriam and related patches and pins. If I want a riding vest, I'll get a separate riding vest. The PGR vest is good for both.

I agree. I have had to fabricate some of the tabs and stuff. It would be easier just to plastic weld originals on when needed. Also keep some of the ABS plastic to use when welding. It is used as a filler.

Motor noise on a MKII help needed

Mine has a rattle that can change with the higher RPM's...it is some type of heat plate behind the motor and between the motor and the rear shock. Both my 87 and 89 have the bolts "broken through" or worn through, the metal plate that rattles louder as you accelerate. -
I have now ridden with 3 different groups of PGR. I haven't seen any ego issues or disrespect to the flag. In fact I learned a thing or two on flag edicate since joining. Our group always stands in a circle while they play and sings the Lee Greenwood song of "Proud to be an American" together at the staging. Good thing some of the guys have good sound systems on their bikes.. I haven't found the song on cassette yet...

My 89 is smooth and I can let of the handle bars at any time and it goes straight. One of the few bikes I have owned that is so smooth and straight. Good luck on your issue.

A friend of mine went off the deep end ( midlife crisis ? ) and bought a 2013 Victory Vegas 8-Ball. I rode it yesterday. Several questions.. I have NEVER heard a shifter clank so loud while shifting gears. Do they have a little midget troll in there with a 20 lb sledge hammer changing gears ? Also, when you let go of the handle bars it leans/pulls hard to the right. ( I know why let go of the handle bars) I would think that "fighting" that pull over a long distance would get tiring on a long ride. Has 200 miles on it now, and it seems to backfire when decelerating. So is all this normal for a Victory ?

I am SO offended by that comment ! To say we "think" we are a higher class.... we don't think that at all.... we know it ! ...A fact is a fact... indisputable facts are not "thoughts" . We KNOW the fact... either live with it or buy a 1st Gen and join us. Just funnin.....I think...

Dan, sounds like you got one of those 2nd Gen 'puters. Also you can download Spybot... it is free. Also you can have the warden try going back to an earlier boot savings. It's called system restore. Completed a "happier" mission today. Welcomed back for a Chief Petty Officer from his 2nd tour in Afghanistan. Seeing his wife and son hugging him home, was well worth the time spent on the flag line at the airport. Watching all the other passengers clapping as he walked through the flag line to his family was priceless. I challenge everybody to join their local chapter of the PGR. Yes, some of the Missions are sad. Escorting the body of my friend Sgt Brian Walker was the hardest motorcycle ride I have ever taken. But, the look of appreciation, the handshakes and the thank you's from family members are payment in gold. It's an incredible group of people serving those who have served us. I now ride in honor of two heroes that I knew. So, join. It's free. You don't have to be ex-military, heck you don't have to even ride. Just be willing to stand as a thank you for those who have stood for us. Ace Hardware sells that can of spray on rubber. Just coat the inside and you should get another 80 to 90 thousand miles out of that one.
