I just think it is funny that I can ride a motorcycle in Arizona wearing nothing but shorts (pants) if I chose to, but I am required by law to wear a seat belt in a closed cage that has airbags and metal protection all around...

Okay, this just came up in another thread and I thought I would ask the many smart, and the few not-so-smart members out there. When I changed my plugs for the first time after buying my 89, I found a quarter between the front left spark plug boot and the cylinder head. ( Photos below) Now another member just bought a bike and found a dime between his spark plug boot and front cylinder head. These coins can't just "fall there" , so.... is there reason for this ? Is this a good luck charm or something ?

Was the dime on the inside of the cap between the cap and the cylinder wall ? I found a quarter in my front left cylinder the first time I changed plugs. Does this have a meaning ? Is it a good luck deal or something ?

I got over to the bikes today.I removed the cover and the seal and inner spring. These appear to be the only removable parts ( besides the filter) . Is there something I am missing ? If not I will send the 3 parts removed. This all looks like solid motor:

I have a rebuilt titanium shoulder. Even though they give you a cute little card with an x~ray picture, you still have to go through the complete search in most airports . I think I'm engaged to TSA Agents in Fayettevile NC, Reno NV, Las Vegas NV and Salt Lake City UT. You learn to stand there and pretend its some cute female.......

This is a great thread . I know most of it is old, but the info is timeless. I have been battling a running problem with my 87 and every repair seems to make no difference. This thread has given me more tests and check points . Time to get back to the 87. Thanks guys .

I had one of the Ruger DC95's with the Polymer frame before it was stolen in 2009. I hope to get it back some day. Loved the gun !

The 89 is the "Brunette" ( maroon in color) and the 87 is my "Blonde" ( gold in color). Wife hates it when friends ask what I am going to do on Saturday and I respond " spend some time on the brunette and then switch over to the blonde. If there is time (wife) and I will spend a little time to relax on the brunette.":happy65:
