  1. Guess it shows that you can't teach an old Gen new tricks...now where's my cassette case..??
  2. Jack up the front end and place on jack stands. Then grab the tire and shake side to side and up to down. If you feel looseness, then it could be part of the suspension, bad bearings or if front wheel drive could be a bad front axle CV joint. If it is tight, I would look into the rotor being warped. I have had them warp pretty bad ..and fast. They don't make rotors like they used to.. Now leave the freakin car alone and get back to working on the bike....
  3. We are expecting 112 - 117 with clear skies.......but it's a dry heat
  4. So ...when do we get our Diploma ?? I needed it to increase my earning potential....
  5. Can I come out of the bomb shelter yet ? Once the test sirens went off I ran for cover... I thought Brian was doing something dangerous like "test" riding a 2nd Gen or something ..
  6. I agree...simple fix. It was my problem too.. way back when...
  7. Enjoy the trip "up there" and be sure that once you "get there" , You don't drive until you "come down from there"...
  8. Sorry.. I have to disagree ....the CORRECT answers are: 1) B ( If A isn't available) 2) D On Saturdays 3) B 4) C 5) A + C + D on Sundays 6) True if you are a liberal 7) True on even dated days 8) Sometimes 9) Never 10) None of the above, ( well almost none of the above)
  9. Good luck !
  10. I've got 2 84 parts bikes too. Post picts of what you need and figure out who you need it from ..

    2014 Gen 3 ?

Okay..here is the real scoop on this bike: a 1930 Henderson KJ Streamline motorcycle on Friday, June 14, 2013, in Nashville, Tenn., as part of the "Sensuous Steel" exhibit at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts. The exhibit is made up of cars and motorcycles from the 1930s and 1940s that exemplify the elegance and styling characteristic of the Art Deco style. The exhibit is scheduled to run through Sept. 15. 2014 Gen 3 ?

Secret photo of the Gen 3 Venture ??
  16. I replaced my slave cylinder and did not remove the side cover to the best of my recollection. Just had to bend that wire holder way out of the way and then play with the unit until it dropped out. Going in was a lot easier !! Is my memory wrong ? Do you have to remove the side cover ?
  17. Happy..Happy..Happy Birthday !
  18. I'll let the experts chime in, but if you need any parts, I have an 84 dash off of one of my parts bikes that I can take some pieces out of if yours can be replaced.
  19. I posted a hitch rail hauler for dirt bikes yesterday. within 15 minutes I received a text saying he wanted to buy it. Next text was that he would pay $50.00 over any other offer. He would send a certified check. He would pay for shipping etc. Says he is back east. It's a $250.00 hauler. I wanted to blast him, but figured he had my cell # and I didn't want to start getting spammed in response. It just was amazing how fast he contacted me over my Craigs List post. Here are the texts... notice he uses the word "goods" instead of the item name... 21. WHY ??? Because we keep electing idiots to positions of power ... oops...did this just become political ... Sometimes the truth must be told....
  22. Check your PM's. I need an address to mail them to.... Here is what I'll send:
  23. Okay....I take it that the tip over switch is right behind the light inside or held by a rubber encased thingy. Both bikes had it so I am sending both to you . Hopefully one works. Check both snd If ghe second one is good too just hang on to it and pass it on forward to someone else
  24. Ok.. I printed the picture. I will try to go over tomorrow. I checked the box of parts I have already taken off the bikes and there wasn't one in there. Hopefully there is at least one on one of the bikes. I'll let you know. Bill
