  2. Thought this might be interesting. http://azstarnet.com/news/blogs/police-beat/motorcyclist-survived-crash-on-i--in-marana-then-disappeared/article_19b61ef6-89d4-11e3-85d2-001a4bcf887a.html
  3. Who's the pissed off guy in the background... I have seen that look before..usually on a 2nd Gen owner right after they realized they should have bought a 1st Gen....
  4. "Brutus", Since there was definitely some traitorous aspects to this action... “You, too, Brutus" http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/dec/11/list-famous-traitors-throughout-history/

    Ice??

Give it a try, The worst thing, or best thing, that could happen is the 2nd Gen falls through the ice and as we all know...that wouldn't be too much if a loss....
  6. Dan, Sorry to hear about your loss. My mom went home 6 years ago next month. Miss her every day. Hope your heart heals soon.
  7. Here you go... Just add a cassette tape for your entertainment and go for a ride...
  8. Bolt is in the mail. Good luck !
  9. I 2nd the check the head bearings. Also if you don't have the correct fluid level in both sides of the shocks. Maybe something wrong with the front tire rim assembly from being mounted wrong ? I highly recommend the upgraded fork brace, but that isn't your problem. Good luck
  10. You will break less parts if you let it rest on the tires instead of the topside parts... just sayin'....
  11. Oops..looks like we both posted at 7:26am... glad you fixed it...now... how about fixing the bike so you can go riding....
  12. Both of the ideas ...hose end to tight...but I think the screen is clogged. Clean the screen first...good luck....
  13. I kinda liked the comment " knackered" .. got a new word for my vocabulary...
  14. I think the main point is to make sure your tender or float charger actually turns off when battery is full. When I had 7 different types of bikes in the garage, I would keep them on what I thought was the correct charger. Then I started going through batteries every year. I found out that the charger was, I guess the best description is, "boiling the batteries dry. I found the batteries constantly low on water. Once I quit leaving it on all the time my battery woes went away....as did most of my bikes...
  15. What year do you have ? I have some old carbs off of one of my 84 parts bikes. Probably the same bolt.
  16. Pretty cool ! Great job !
  17. Yep what has been said...your speedo cable. Pull the cable until you grease it. There is a custom made grease fitting I can look for mine and you can borrow it and send it back, but I recommend you grease it from the inside first like I did.
  18. Congrats...that looked like a really nice bike.
  19. It might be a bit uncomfortable to ride today down here.... supposed to hit an unbearable 81 degrees.... Just going along with the "rub it in" theory.....
  20. Yea.... everything they said. And by the way...the only stupid question is any question my brother-in-law asks me....
  21. And to add to the confusion, the 94-98 Ventures had no brushes at all. This might help: http://www.venturerider.org/history.htm
  22. When, and IF, I ever get my 87 on the road I will definitely buy one from you since the front brace on my 89 made a very BIG difference. I was so close to ordering my first one from you when I realized one of my 84 parts bikes had one on it.
  23. I just went to the original thread and the original link and there is nothing there flag/pin wise. Is there an updated link for this map ? Maybe there can be an easy way ( and link) directly to the map ?
  24. There was a hefty rumor going around that it is just another verifiable act on how slow a 2nd Gen really is... it's even slow getting to the show room floor... That nasty rumor was just started by either me or Yammer Dan...can't remember which... oh yea Dan flipped to the dark side so...;it must have been me.....

    Why

Tucson, it's a dry heat, Arizona will hit a cold 29 degrees tonight, but we will hit 61 tomorrow and 72 on Wednesday. Guess we will just have to live with the cold snap.
