Need help on what font the Royal Star logo is
deepforkriver replied to dingy's topic in Watering Hole
Gary, While I do not know the font, I do feel your day job. 32 years in drafting/CAD. And also, Maybe a tweak on the name, SylveSTAR. It's gonna be sweet! Cant wait to see it finished, James -
Caught a rock from the cable guy's back tire the other day. Glad it hit the chrome strip, not me. Big rock, pretty sure it would have required dental work if any higher.. With all the dirt/gravel roads 'round here, it's hard to keep a clean front end. I know there were threads on this in 09, forgive me Don, trying to find a supplier less than $140. Didnt know which category to put this in either... Really dont want to go to stealer on this one.... HELP!

As we soon progress into 2013, I want to thank you all for your educa-tional e-mails over the past year. I am totally screwed up now and have little chance of recovery. I can no longer open a bathroom door without using a paper towel, nor let the waitress put lemon slices in my ice water without worrying about the bacteria on the lemon peel. I can't sit down on a hotel bedspread because I can only imagine what has happened on it since it was last washed. I have trouble shaking hands with someone who has been driving because the number one pastime while driving alone is picking one's nose. Eating a little snack sends me on a guilt trip because I can only imagine how many gallons of trans fats I have consumed over the years. I can't touch any woman's handbag for fear she has placed it on the floor of a public toilet. I must send my special thanks for the email about rat poo in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet sponge with every enve-lope that needs sealing. ALSO, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason. I can't have a drink in a bar because I fear I'll wake up in a bathtub full of ice with my kidneys gone. I can't eat at KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes, feet or feathers. I can't use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day. Thanks to you I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes. Because of your concern , I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains. I no longer buy fuel without taking someone along to watch the car, so a serial killer doesn't crawl in my back seat when I'm filling up. I no longer use Cling Wrap in the microwave because it causes seven different types of cancer. And thanks for letting me know I can't boil a cup of water in the micro-wave anymore because it will blow up in my face, disfiguring me for life. I no longer go to the cinema because I could be poked with a needle infected with AIDS when I sit down. I no longer go to shopping centers because someone will drug me with a perfume sample and rob me.. And I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number for which I will get a huge phone bill with calls to Jamaica , Uganda , Singapore and Uzbekistan .. Thanks to you I can't use anyone's toilet but mine because a big black snake could be lurking under the seat and cause me instant death when it bites my b.u.t.t. And thanks to your great advice I can't ever pick up a dime coin dropped in the car park because it was probably placed there by a sex molester waiting to grab me as I bend over. I can't do any gardening because I'm afraid I'll get bitten by the Violin Spider and my hand will fall off. If you don't send this to at least 144,000 people in the next 70 minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land on your head at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, and the fleas from 120 camels will infest your back, causing you to grow a hairy hump. I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbors ex mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's best friend's beautician! Oh, and by the way... A German scientist from Argentina , after a lengthy study, has dis-covered that people with insufficient brain activity read their e-mails with their hand on the mouse. Don't bother taking it off now, it's too late. P. S. I now keep my toothbrush in the living room, because I was told by e-mail that water splashes over 6 ft. out of the toilet.. NOW YOU HAVE YOURSELF A VERY GREAT 2013.

Baggershield Adjustable Windshield
deepforkriver replied to deepforkriver's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Larry, Just ordered mine from Baggershield. Got the 10.5-16.5 and will be happy to give full report. (and maybe video of different windshields goin down road with wind noise, etc) I know this, after I hit "BUY" I realized Spencer was offering a 10% discount to VR members. Sent him a PM and within minutes was credited back the 10% with a thank you for your order message. Will let you know how quick I get it and post pics. (ordering another if it works out good, for son's bike) James -
Baggershield Adjustable Windshield
deepforkriver replied to deepforkriver's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Thank you Yamak for the pic! Is that the 8.5" to 13.5" OR the 10.5" to 16.5"? It looks to be the taller of the two. Larry, Isnt the stock windshield 17"? I measured mine last night and that's what I got (doesnt mean I'm right). The taller of the two is 16.5" tall and 4" overall wider. Might help passenger. Which, is the only reason I am looking. I have the shorter smoked windshield and the stock clear. Getting tired of switching when the wife wants to ride along..... Thank you everyone! Looks like I will be pulling the trigger on this one. James :biker: -
Hello to everyone! I am considering a Baggershield adjustable windshield. My question is: Does anyone here have one and thumbs up or so so. I know they are a sponser of our great forum, and are running a 25% off special right now. I appreciate that they have what seems like a good product for the RSV. Wanting any input you guys/gals may have... I am considering the taller one of these: http://www.baggershield.com/yamaha-windshields-c-5.html READY.... GO Ride Safe, James :biker:

Eck, I too was looking forward to the new F6B until my son pointed out a few new road test and reviews last night while watching the Beyonce' Bowl. Having Valkyries also, we are always looking forward to new flat 6 technology/bikes. Well, the new F6B is on a g/w frame with g/w suspension and g/w tires and exact g/w motor, etc. etc. etc. You get the idea. If you are Honda and given the opportunity to conceive a new sport/touring/glide bike, why just change plastics? at $19,999 (without options that are standard on g/w like centerstand and reverse) I am not excited anymore. (and it's just 60lbs lighter than a g/w) DANG IT. Sure is purty tho...and I still want to sit on one :whistling: Ride safe, James :biker:

TINA Can u tell why? It's the shaggy hair growing from the seats. Hence, Tina (Turner)

Maan, I am not sure how you can sleep at night, on a deal like that. Remind me to call you when I am looking for another bike! Holler at us and we will ride. Just up the road from you. James :biker:

Dave, Last week I posted about a hanging fuel cell for working in the garage while having the tank off in order to sync carbs, etc, more handily. While there was much discussion, I think Larry (Carbon One) came up with the best and most mobile solution that may be just what you are looking for... Here is his comment: "Well after giving this some thought I don't think you even need a fuel bottle. By using a small gas can, a length of hose, and a double barbed fitting you could use the bikes fuel pump to keep the carbs primed. Simply place the small gas can near the bike, dropping the hose into it and hook up the fitting to the bikes inlet hose. Once the key is turned on the fuel pump should pull fuel into the carbs. Also if for some reason the stock fuel pump isn't working you could put a temporary fuel pump between the gas can and the bikes inlet hose." Larry Hope this is applicable and helps... James:biker:

While Miles has done what few if any will ever accomplish, he will probably say good job as well, as he understands more than anyone what it takes. For those of us who are dedicated riders but will never accomplish such a dream for whatever reason or limitation put on us, It is still VERY impressive and we are in awe of anyone physically able to accomplish such a feat.

I rode in a toy run with this fella and wife in December from Sand Springs to Lake Keystone, both just west of Tulsa. He and his wife were most humble and gracious about anything being said about his ride. As he talked, I just could not quit staring at the patch on his jean jacket, ALL 48 states colored in. WOW. He was riding the same bike pictured in the article. Very nice folks. :biker:

try firstrowsports.eu and far right tab, motorsports. has lots of racing tv on it. You will get a couple popups but if you look past that and close them, it has several feeds for each channel. Do not know if they are showing the chili bowl or not. (this is also good for other sports, NBA, football, etc. James

We are on parallel paths. Our Daughter, son-in-law and 11 month old grandson drove in from Fort Carson Colorado on Dec. 21st and within 2 days, our daughter had strep and grandson had the flu. Of course, now, my wife has been in bed for 3 days with flu and I am beginning the muscle ache and joint pain. Kinda surprised we didnt come down with it sooner. Lots of cases of Flu in Oklahoma with the local news saying it hit much earlier and worse this year. So sorry to year your sick, prayers for speedy recovery.... Fluids, fluids, fluids.... Daughter and grandson and now son-in-law are just getting over their illness. YUK
