    Naw..I bent down to polish the rear fender and my hand hit the brace and it moved. Thought a bolt was loose but not to be. Never heard it rattle as I was riding yesterday. Sure ruined my day. No warranty. Hope Yamaha doesn't hit me hard!

    While getting ready to go for a ride today I noticed that one of the braces that support the trunk bracket was broken at the weld. Has anyone had this happen to them? I have pulled everything and have the trunk bracket pulled and ready to go to the Yamaha shop tomorrow as they are closed today. I have attached a picture. This is a 2007 RSV

    I had the same thing happen to my 07 RSV. I was able to reattach the latch by bending some soft metal drill a hole in the metal and latch and secure with 2 small screws. It seems to work well as this repair was made several months ago but I would like the option of the epoxy should I need it. I have looked at the Canadian Tire web site and was unable to locate Ultra Bond Plastic Epoxy. I’d appreciate any additional info on the product. Thanks

    What is the purpose off this switch? I have had my 07 RSV on it'side a time or two and had to kill the engine manually. This happened when the bike got away from me due to passenger loading, or engine died with handle bars in a locked position.

    That's a great question. I’m only relaying what the Yamaha service dept said. The next time I have to remove the front fairing I will see about removing the dash piece. Right now I'm wedging a piece of rubber between the door and dash. I’m totally disgusted with the local Yamaha dealer.

    Spray did not help but a wedge made out of scrap black rubber seems to work ok.

    I have a 2007 Venture Royale that the tape player dust cover will not lock close. Since the bike is still under warranty I spoke to the dealer about having it repaired and was advised the hole assembly mounted in the dash had to come out and be sent to Clarion. I'm not about to have my bike tied up for potentially months over this. Anyone else have this problem or a solution?
