Yes' date=' odd that their 9 page fitment does not list it!! For all intents and purposes a 1999 and a 2013 are the same bike...[/quote']
I may go ahead and try them out then... My stock ones look good, but I am sure whatever cushion qualities they had are long gone.

I have an 2001 RSV, EBAY has some grips that show to fit like a 2011 RSV, wouldn't the 01 and 11 be the same? Here is the link:

Me thinks I need to check mine... I just changed mine out a few hundred miles ago.. Sure hope I got lucky and bought silica free...

OK guys come on, somebody post a picture.. Got us all hyped up over a new bike and we don't have any pictures, or even a good description to daydream about...

@wideopen: $35 shipped USPS? I have plenty of clutter...I think they're about $65-70. If it doesn't rain me out I'll have them back off tomorrow.
PM me your info please.
Thanks,

how much? Very interested....

WOW, now that's funny !

Sorry for your families loss. I agree, so wrong.

I have a backrest, but no risers.. I to notice shoulder pain, and just the general feel the bars need to come back a little closer to me.. Going to try an source a set of the risers...

Lets keep the town of West Texas in prayer after this horrible explosion at the fertilizer plant.

I like it! Would be curious as well.

I hope the blanks fit your bike. There's about 7 configurations of the blank for 1stGens. Not sure if it holds true for 2nd's. The eBay key blank does look like my '07' date=' but my OEM key on the '99 is totally different. When you ordered did they ask what year the blank was for?? If not there could possibly be a problem. Also the Chinese are masters at copying. The OEM blanks are brass, but these look to be pot metal and they will break off with too much applied pressure. You don't want to fish a tip out of your ignition switch... [/quote']
I reckon I will find out for sure when they come in.I'll let you know if they fit my 01 RSV and if they are brass or pot metal.

Hello in forumrunner you click on the comment not the persons name bar then it takes you to a page with a back arrow on top click that and that is how I am replying to you
Found the problem... I had the old forum runner free version, and it didn't give me the option to reply. Bought the new version, and I am replying now from my iPhone. I love technology!

yeah my factory key is just a boring black triangle. So now I can upgrade my key to later model, pretty cool.
Now I think I will upgrade my cassette player to the later model...uh wait they still have them..

On the forumrunner app, I do not see a way to reply to a thread. It leads me read and even thank someone, but not post or reply. Anyone else have this issue?

Just ordered a couple of these blanks for my 2001 RSV:
They look pretty snazzzy, and I only received one key from PO when I bought it.
What ya think, they have blue and red ones listed as well. I'll let ya know when they get in from across the big pond and I get them cut.

I believe Deepforkriver had this same type issue, and ended up being stator unit...
James, sound like what you went through?

Did you ever notice how much the "other" site charges???
Wait! There is another site? c- ya!
Kidding, grass is only greener on the other side if there is more fertilizer... and we know what fertilizer is made of.. But of course our pastures here sure are green.... Like i said earlier, if you are pleased with the product you are paying for and the price you are paying, who are you to question what the person selling it to you is making.

Yeah, that was at the old house... Wish we had a hot tub now... You buy one and have it installed at my house, and we could let ya'll come use it.. See, win-win!
Let me know if you wanna try the plastex stuff..

Hey James, I believe I have some of that Plastex stuff. I used it on a hot tub to deal cracks. Its a liquid and powder you mix together. You can even mix in acrylic paint to get the desired color you need. Let me know if you interested in trying it and I can get it to you.. I can also school you on plastic welding as well...

Just a word of caution, make sure you do have some travel.... I work with a guy who filled his forks pretty much full of fork oil, and did not have any travel. The ensuing ride after ended in a crash. If there is no travel the front end will bounce, not a good thing.

I was playing with my calculator too, did you know if you hold it upside down and type 0 7 7 3 4 it will form the word HELLO? very cool!

Do you question how many customers Wal-Mart has? No one is forced to be a member or come to this interweb site, just like we are not forced to shop at certain stores. What said store owner does with, and I'll emphasize, "ANY" profits is their business. We live in a capitalistic society, although this is in danger, and we all have inherit opportunities to better ourselves through various means. Class warfare and entitlement gets us nowhere. Just because we all cannot afford a 2nd Gen, and are forced to ride "antique" 1st genners.. Uh, better stop on that thought... like I said Poke, Poke!
