I have a 2002 RSV and was given a centerstand off of an 84 venture. Matching up the bolt holes to the bracket on the chassis seems to be exact. Does anyone know if I can just attach it to the existing holes on the chassis and if I can, does someone have a diagram on how the spring and lever attach to the stand and frame?

I am thinking of buying a 2002 midnight venture with 10,000 miles for $6400. Was curious to know if this is a good price and what I should look for.

Question on 1985 venture
masterofyard replied to masterofyard's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
thanks for the reply, I am going to try and grab it tomorrow. Hope it works out. -
A friend of mine is a manager at an electronic manufacturing company. He had on of the techs look at the TCI. They replaced a couple of resistors but said the board looks like it took a voltage spike and was no good. they gave me the TCI back to try. The bike wont even start, even got a back fire out of it. I am guessing that the TCI is no good and I need to get an new one. I am not sure whether to look for a used one or piurchase the one that Dingy recommends from overseas.

ok...since I got the readings that dingy told me and no reading for ground, i am guessing that the tci unit is bad?
-
If I am not getting any reading from the black wire, does that mean the igniter os bad, pick up coils are bad, or is there a ground wire that can be bad for the igniter or pick up coil?
-
The readings were 111 to 112 on the ohms when I went from black to the 4 other terminals. When I check the black to ground I get no reading at all on the meter.
