  1. I'm pretty sure they are referring to the idle jet/air mixture screws under the brass plugs just below the diaphram cover screws on the outside. Not "IN" the carb. Excuse me if I am wrong. I am no mechanic. Good luck.
  2. Hey guys, I really enjoyed seeing all of these pics. Everyone of them are great. I won't ever have a "hers" to show. Just me and my "Brown Sugah." I'll get her on the road one day soon. Ed
  3. Yeah Brian, It has been a lot of work so far. I rode it when I first got it. I didn't start taking her apart for about 2 weeks. I put about 100 miles on her right after I bought it. Then I started taking her apart little by little. Thanks for your info. Ed
  4. I finally got some pics of "Brown Sugah." The last one is the clutch master cylinder being soaked with PB Blaster because the split ring won't budge right now. 5. I am no mechanic but I would take these/or other photos to the dealer. And then give 'em hell.
  6. Terrible weather here right now. Be back later..........
  7. Yeah, I sure need to post some pics. I just went out to the shop and fired her up. I'm gonna go take some pics right now. Be back later...........
  8. Howdy Andy, "Bernice" is sure looking good. I've been watching/reading your progress. My 1985 was in a lot worse shape but I am getting it back slowly but surely. I paid scrap iron price for her @ 77.50 and so far I have about 300.00 in her. She is coming along good. I named mine "Brown Sugah." Keep up the great work and I'll definitely be paying attention. I must say again that this is the best motorcycle website ever. At least to me. So many helpful people. Ed
  9. Great info you guys. Pictures also. I'm rebuilding my rear caliper this weekend so I will also check this and make sure it is put together right. This is the best motorcycle website there is..... at least to me. Have a great weekend.
  10. Thanks Venturous. I got all my bulbs replaced. Speedo greased where it needs to be greased. Was fixin' to put it back together but decided to come in from the shop and check this thread. I used 3 in 1 oil on the tach. Thanks a bunch you guys........
  11. Oh yeah, I sure will. I was just reading some posts about that. Also gonna lube the tach, replace all of the bulbs. Might even order them LED's. I sure thank all of you for the info on this site. Best 12 dollars I ever spent. VentureRider.Org = Git 'er done! Happy New Year to all of you.
  12. Ok, I will check that. Thanks alot.
  13. Thanks Yammer, I have it out. Actually sitting right here on my lap. I just can't separate the front part from the back because of this little dimmer knob.
  14. How do I separate the dash to get to the gauges? My dash illumination knob won't budge. I have searched the forums and my manual diagrams but can't see how it comes apart. Thanks
  15. You're welcome. I am still working on my '85 Royale. This website has been a great research tool for me. Have a great day.
