  1. hi carl gald to hear you got some riding in even if it was going to the store. now you had my old brain wondering what the neck is peameal bacon. so i let my fingers do some typing and found out. i have had canadian bacon before but never peameal bacon. found out the bacon used to be coated in a ground yellow pea flour/meal. but now is coated in yellow cornmeal. never seen this combo before but will have to give it a try. looks like i'll have to make my own, never seen this in our stores. best reguards don c.
  2. hi jb sounds good to me, count me in. i've stayed at the koa tom's talking about, off & on over the last 8 years or so. real nice couple that own it. thay also have tent camping area at the back of the property. i have stayed in the cabins and tent camped there. marking my calender for those dates. best reguards don c.
  3. hi john congrats on your new home. i lived in brunswick,oh for a few years reminds me of the house i had there. best reguards don c.
  4. thanks kreg for the update, give janet a big hug for me. prayers sent don c.
  5. hi nightrider your rear shock is still covered under warrenty, would take it to a delear for replacement. but be prepaired to waite several months for the replacement to come from japan. seams mama yama doesn't carry any spares state side. one trick you may try is the rick butler mod. jack up the bike a little, take out the air valve from the shock. use a syringe to inject an 1/2 oz of 40 wt shock oil and a 1/2 oz of aft fluid into the upper part of the shock housing. then replace the air valve and air the shock up. this will help for a little while. best reguards don c.
  6. hi hale i belive the oil you see is the blow-by oil from the engine. this will happen if you put the oil level above a half of sight glass. or sometimes just from coming in from a good day's ride. this happens to me every now and then. best reguards don c.
  7. hi hope you are having a great day. for your 2' gen you will need 2-sb8125's (1-is for the rear brake caliper ) & the other one is for the clutch slave cylinder. for the front you will need 2-sb7100 real easy to install and use. you may have to remove thr lt. rear cylinder cover to get to the clutch cylinder a little easyer. also do not throw away the little rubber square that covers the oem bleeder you will reuse it later. good luck best reguards don c.
  8. hi gary great to hear the good news. as i tell sarah you can loose everthing but they can't take education away from ya. best reguards don c.
  9. hi folks i would not use it myself, no advantage for the price you pay. nitrogen is used in aircraft tires at least in comerrical a/c that is. this is due to the hidh landing speeds and the weight of landing a/c. a/c tires get HOT really fast, with the airlines trying to save fuel they apply the brakes faster and try to use the thurst reversers less. this heat can stay in the hub / tire/ and brake assy's for more that 3 hours. this excessive heat could blow up a a/c tire if your were using plain old oxygen instead nitrogen. now i feel that i can keep up with the best of them, but i'am never going to see landing speeds of a ( 150 + mph ) on my rsv. just my best reguards

  21. hi all now have over 12,00 miles on my c/t, it's hard to catch up with lowell. i would like to ask how many ventureriders are now runing c/t's on their scoot's now. i have pulled a trailer with the scoot over 4,000 miles with no ill effect. best reguards don c.
  22. hi sarge ponch has the rk pipes on this rsv and it realy sounds good. my used '99 had bub's installed on it when i bought it. i like the bub's, but i belive i would have gone with the rk's if it schoot still had the oem pipes on it. best reguards don c.

  24. hi eddy rick buter had a post about the oem shock doing the same thing. i belive he said to remove the valve core from the shock and to inject a mix of 1/2 oz 40w shock oil and a 1/2 oz of syn. tranny fluid to the rear shock to lube the upper half of the rsv rear shock. best reguards donc.
  25. hi owen hate to hear about the " tank slapping " but glad you made it ok. best reguards don c.
