  1. hi kross k yep i have to second motion that, let me know when the deer chili done. i still have my momma's cast iron skillet (bless her soul) but didn't use it tonight. used one of them new non-slick 9" pie pan. dog gone bacon grease would hardly stick to the sides of that pie pan. never had that problem with the old cast iron. don c.
  2. very nice, now let the safety chrome begin. don c.
  3. hay rick what about the (rum, ribs & bbq) i read in your interest section? :rotfl::cool10: but brother i'am right there along side of ya. don c.
  4. i only had one slice & 2 % milk ( the other slices are in the icebox, calling my name) but the butter was the GOOD STUFF. don c.
  5. hi double d never used buttermilk, i've heard the old timers talk about it. but we always used sweet milk. by the way, made a pan of cornbread at 9:00 pm tonight. don c.
  6. this has nothing to do with nothing, but when was the last time you southern folks, maybe even northern folks or anyone for that matter. had a good old cold glass of milk and a slice of cornbread cooked in saved bacon grease. and you dunked that slice of cornbread in that glass of milk. or just had it with some real old fashion butter. well if you can't remember well that's too long. hot d--- momma i'am back home. peace & love to all best reguards don c.
  7. how about the nexum 165/80-15. ponch is running this combo with the corba. but he's in cody, wyo right now. so i guess that combo is working for him, but may be he will chime in soon on his oberservations with that combo. don c.

  9. hi dale hope you can make it but we understand. there is still the september 26 ride to avery island and then ride to centeral miss in october. hopefully we met you some where. you have a place to stay here in houston, the porch light is always on. don c.
  10. i got my kumho 165/80r-15 ( for the rear) from www.tirerack.com about 57.00 with shipping . now the avon corba 150/80r-16 (for the front) from www.cyclegear.com was a 157.00 with shipping. plus another 25.00 for mounting. now you may find better prices. good luck. let me know if i can help. don c.
  11. hi all let me add this i ran a me880 130/90-16 for over 22,ooo miles. while using a bfg 155/80r-15 for over 31,000 miles, i had no problems period. i just went to a kumho 165/80-15 on the rear and a avon corba 150/80r-16 the front. man what a difference should have done this sooner. will report back as i rack up more miles, especillay runing the 3-sisters here in west texas. don c.
  12. now the black hills i haven't seen years. rick i hope to make the pip next year. will have to do two weeks of vacation bid. but i did that for the 08 int. rally. next year will hopefully have sarah with me again or new girlfriend. always good to see my canuck brothers & sisters. by the way i have my passports so thers no problem crossing the border. don c.
  13. last call saturday is the day to come out to kelly's (wilsontamu83) for the mini-mx day. don c.
  14. add me to the list also. put in 8oz two weeks ago, when ponch & kabay came over to help on the bike. didn't get to ride for a whole week. well tuesday i made up for it (almost 300 miles). installed new avon crobra front tire (tuesday eneving) and the week before installed the kunmo c/t on the rear. now i don't think it's my mind playing tricks on me. but i feel /noticed a difference in the noise level. i have never paid much thought to the noise of the clutch basket or the stright cut gears of our tranny's. because my beast has the bub 4-in-2 exhaut system all ready instaled on it, i bought it used 4 years ago. i guess what i trying to say is there is a difference now. i turned off the radio and listen to the engine, i was wearing a shority helment. there was no noise coming from the right side of the beast, all the noise was coming from the tranny/ drive shaft side of the bike. anyway i'll be putting more miles on the bike and reporting back with my observations. don c.
  15. hi don just tried a google search finaly got in. but it was not easy. so i don't know what the problem is but it must be on my side. again thanks a lot. don c.

  20. jb i like the sound of BOZOMEDIC got a ring to it.:crackup::crackup::stickpoke: don c.
  21. got the corbra mounted on the beast tuesday after 5:00 pm. ran some lite twistes (the montgomery trace) and i-45 back to houston. wow what a ride, i will have to agree that the crobra/ kumho are the way to go. bike was rock solid thru the twisties and freeway speeds upwards of 100 mph. at normal speeds set the cruise control and let go, not a issue with one hand holding the bars. its like all i have to do is just think to go left or right and the bike goes. the two radials work well together. now to give the 3-sisters a run. will post more as i give this combo more time and miles. don c.
  22. as much as i enjoyed the hub & owners debbie & randel. cast my vote on the kootenay's. second place would be potato creek. i will have fun at either place. i will have to do vacation bid's soon. don c.
  23. hi fred if you need a swing arm and i hope you don't. i have a spare new one , well almost new, suppose to just have a few hundred miles on it. came off a venture some place up on the north coast 2 years ago. some shop was doing a trike converison. i got the swingarm & the pumpkin for around $200. i was going to do that vmax / venture pumpkin upgrage but never have. don c.
  24. better find out asap. don c.
