hi all thanks to everyone, i jaged left when i should have jaged right. sorry to have put everyone on the out & out. sarah & i made it home last eneving with out any proublems. we missed our friends coming across that bridge. saw them turn left and could not locate them again after that. but all ended up well. dam hot ride across kentucky ( east to west) i saw one sigh that showed 107. we stayed at dryersburg, tenn, had a very poor inter-net connection at the hotel. was just able to say congrats to kbay on being a new g-paw, before giving up on the inter-net connection for the night. again thanks to all who were ready to send out the hounds to help find us. best reguards don c. -

hi boomer i've got a head start on ya, i'am 60 miles south of st.louis,mo. sarah & i dodged one thunder storm to get caught 30 miles later in another. no place to pull over & lighting striks so close the hairs would stand up on the back of your neck. man what a ride so far. i'am gona tell ya, there is nothing to see on i-55 from memphis, tenn to mile marker 105. nothing but 1,000's of acers of farm land. we plane on stoping at the gate way arch , and then heading over to don's mx day see ya there. looking forward to riding back south with ya. hope to picth the first tent at don's thursday. also i have a backup mr. gaskit fuel pump ready to go if need be. reguards don c.

hi dave thanks for the up date on the " new & inproved " mr.gasket fuel pump. i just got one from advance auto parts & it's the "old style". had a dickins of a time trying to get the right fittings. ponch had told me i would need a 45 & 90 degree fittings so the fuel line would be going back over the top. could not find a 90 so i bought a small 1/8 pipe niple to thread the two 45's together. home depot only had the 45, lowell's had the 1/8 pipe niple. guess i should have checked out a ace hardware store. but anyway i got my new pump all ready to go if i need it. reguards don c.

hi kit funny you should post this filter. back in high school ( '65 ) i bought a used 55 chevy that had this filter on it. i would buy the 1,000 sheet of scott t/p & pull of enough t/p till it fit inside the housing. that v-8 engine(260) was chev's first and it didn't have a filter. it even had a oil bath air filter. the 283's v-8 had a canaster type filter. i only paid $550.00 for that chevy 4- door, wish i still had that old chevy.

hi folks got a question about a fram tough guard 7317 oil filter. i have been using a walmart super tech #7317 for a while now. but yesterday i went to 2 different walmarts and they didn't have any st7317's on the shelf. i ended buying a fram t/g 7317 filter. this morning i installed this filter and started up the scoot to check for leaks. no leaks and it fit good. when i came in to record the milage in my log, i realized the regular fram filter i could have used is a #ph6017a. any one got an idea if i should go head and use this filter or take it off & replace it. i like to try different things but sure don't want to burn up a engine. reguards don c.

Need Brighter Lights ( headlight & passing lights)
gunboat replied to hunthomer66's topic in GPS, Audio, Electronics
i installed the 6000k hid kit about 2 weeks after boomer cpo installed his 5000k kit at brads & lonna's open house. man what a difference it makes, can't see the driving lights any more. scott at www.canadiancruisercustomizing.com is a great guy to deal with. not i have to figure out how to brighten up those driving lights. i belive this is the same kit that ruffy installed, it's very simple just unplug and plug back in. i didn't have any trouble reusing the wheather boot. buddy rich said he has used hirs for 2 years w/ no problems reguards don c. -
hi ray will be good to meet you. have a great ride and be safe. i have not forgotten your message about a darksider meet so we can talk about it at don's. reguards don c.
