hi all as some of you know i have a '99 rsv trike that we found out that was only firing on 3 cylinders. with much help from ponch, squid & a phone call to goose. last saturday squidly & i fix the #1 cylinder to fireing order. so now i'am a happy camper having all 4 coils sparking again. we changed out the ignition module and problem solved. so the orginal #1 coil is still good. took the trike out sunday for a 170 mile round trip ride. the power was right there and the gas milage was back were it should be for a trike. thanks again for all the help and advice. reguards don c.

also on the inside of the back cover there's a picture of a tour dulex and a rsv. around some lake it's a promo ad for the canada tourism dept.

hi all monday i drove the trike up to troup,texas, to have them look it over. wow what a nice place. one of their tech named david meet me and wanted to know how they could help. i explaned that i had just bought this '99 rsv trike with their kit installed. and could they go over the trike and tell me anything about it. he took it into the shop and put it on a lift. came out a little later and said the axel ring & pinon seal was leaking. also said that they did not instrall the kit on the rsv there, that one of their dealers did it. also told me that it was an early kit as 1998 or 1999. that it did not have the air bags installed. as they started doing this in 2000. also stated that they stamp a serial # on each rear end reguard less of which kit it goes to. that my # was a low one. well after a couple of hours david came out and told me he was done. he had fixed the rear end seal, adjusted the suspension / frame. fixed a tail light, some side molding. all this at work and time at NO CHARGE. yep that's right NO CHARGE, wow was i surprised. as we were shaken hands he told me we get you next time. if your ever in the area go by their plant for a tour of the place and say hi. reguards don c.

hi jason thanks for shareing this story. man what a nut case. glad to hear they did not get hurt. i'll make sure if i'am in your neck of the woods not to go to that tire shop. you should have got more milage out of that c/t? my first c/t i got 40,000 miles out of it. reguards don c.

hi ken and thanks for you advice. will try that next. i should have said the the #1 coil is the one not fireing & #3 is working ok. i will swap the wirs around tomorrow and check to see if the problem now is with #3 not firing and #1 is firing ok. thanks in advance don c.

hi all need some advise on #3 coil not sparking. with ponch's help in troubleshooting the coil, all was in spec's but no fire. had to wait till friday and changed out the coil. now the problem is still no spark from the coil. all the others cylinders are working fine. could have i got another bad coil? i got a set of coils off a 2007 rsv from pinwall cycles a couple of years ago and never needed them untill now. anyone got any ideas. i have read all the post about coils going back to 2008, yet nothing seems to hit on my problem. thanks in advance. reguards don c.

Brad did it again, our youngest daughter she is 16, has her first boyfriend over and Brad accidently hits the kid opening the garage door. now i've got to ask, is this kid that TALL or did brad already have him backed into a corner of the garage door laying the LAW down, about dating brooke reguards don c.

hi larry thanks a bunch for the info. squid said to talk to you, and i really am thankfull for all the help and advise of the other rsv trikers. this is all new to me and it's a real learning curve. the trike handle so munch differently than a stock rsv. liveing in the houston area there's more flat stright land driving but there are roads that do have some challanging curves to them. and we haven't even made it to the hill country yet. again thanks a lot. best reguards don c.

i just bought my '99 r.s.v that has the motor trike kit on it. i've only put about 400 miles on it. i will be contacting the motor trike folks up in troup, texas. to see if they will share any info on this install. i do not know if it has a steer / rake kit on it. i do know that it is kinda hard to turn at low speeds, but once you get going. you just have to barley touch the bar ends and she will start moving & fast . now if the standard rake is already 6 degrees on our bikes. what is the advantgage of spending a $1,000.00 on a e-z steer kit that is also 6 degrees when a set of 1-1/2" risers will do the same thing at less cost:starz:? reguards don c.

thanks larry & rick i will check on the tourtank as i have plenty of room below the rsv trunk. i do have a small storage compartment that is lockable. but i don't think it would be big enought to mount one of the tourtanks in there. i will be adding a rack to the trunk. looking at the hannigan trike bodys it looks like there is plenty of room under that body to add a aux fuel tank. i have not been under the back of my trike yet, but will soon. i did go ahead and punch a couple of holes in the neck of the gas tank so it would vent the traped air out and let fuel higher up in the tank. reguards don c.

hi larry thanks for the responce. i've only put a cople hundred miles on the trike so far. i'am not real impressed with the gas milage, it's about 25 mpg. the mechanic at the shop were i bought the trike said he had serviced it, but could not tell me any more about it. one of the salesmen said he thought they got the bike out of minnesota. i plan on doing a carbtune, checking the rearend gear ratio. i'll probley will change out the engine & rearend oil to synthic. reguards don c.

hi folks since i bought my motor tike rsv a couple of weeks ago. i was wondering if anyone else had this trike kit or am i the only one ? i've looked at the hannigan and tri-wing kits. these seam to be the most popular with the rsv bunch. reguards don c.

hi terry i can't help much as i just bought my trike a couple of weeks ago. but george ( kj5ix ) told me that hannigan makes a steer lite kit for our rsv that's raked 6 degrees. this kit can be ordered by individules. it cost $995.00 & talk to john lee. need to tell him the handlebar bushings need to be in the top. i see bongobob said 10 degrees i would give him or carbon one a pm. figure this out. looks like you have a hannigan tike kit. my kit is a motor trike converson. they stoped makeing a kit for our rsv's in '03. hope this helps some 'cause i need to do this my self. reguards don c.
