    I know everyone mostly is useing the Flanders handlebars to up grade there bike. A buddy of mine saw these,Baron Custom Accessories 1 Inch Touring Handlebars. on CruiserCustomizing and is thinking of trying them. The ad said it gives 2 1/2 inches more pull back than stock. but the pull back is 16 1/2 inches. Seems to me that that is the same as the stock bars. I think I'll stick with the Flanders myself, but Id like to find out so my friend doesn't cost himself a bunch of money thanks in advance Blacksmith

    I'd kinda like to know how DFWRSTD made his from the stock bracket as well ?

    How does one determine if his bike is a "S" model?????????? By how fast it goes of course ...... It was some chrome and the color added to the 08 I believe.

    thank you ,, I just wanted to be sure I wasn't nuts. I"m looking at the Metz 880 right now soon as I can loosen up some change. but I'll look closer at the E3's now to .

    On Dunlop's website they list the 404 as good for the 99-10 Royal Star Venture, but it is not listed for the 08 RSTD, so I asked then why I got this back as an answer. "Good morning Mike, Thank you for taking the time to contact Dunlop Motorcycle & ATV. The D404 original equipment tire is different from the after-market tire. The D404 original equipment tire is belted, the D404 after-market is not. The Elite 3 tires are belted and have a heavier load-carrying capacity" Really didn't answer My question but is it just me or does this make sense to anyone . A friend put 404's on his 06 and has no problem at all .. Maybe Im over thinking it ?

    Well I have to say the Charcoal Silver/Liquid Silver seems to be the fastest so far .. The S model does stand for SPEED dont it

    Just bought an 08 RSTD last Sunday, So far so good love the bike. got a buddy has an 06 model. Are there any major differences in the two model years ? Now I need to research tires as well as I dont like the Bridgestones on it ? Suggestions?

    did you have to change cables with theses bars ? I just got an 08 RSTD yesterday and I'd like the bars back a lil bit more
