Bel ray was a specialty lubrication out of New Jersey. Many moons ago we used it in gearboxes at the water plant. Had a good rep back then.

Have you changed the battery in the remote?

I installed a WOLO horn using Sky Doc's wiring harness and bracket and no problems. Replaced OEM horn. Works like a champ.

Hi Jerry, I bought a black cherry 06 venture about a year and a half ago. I'm 6'1" and also felt that I was sliding forward on the seat. For a bargain price sent your rider seat to Rick Butler. He will sculpt it for your size and add memory foam. I got mine done and it helped a lot. Only downside is you won't be able to ride for a week or two, depending on how busy he is. I'll bet other members will recommend the same. Gary:lightbulb:

I almost Shi# my pants laughing!!

I believe that 16 inches refers to the diameter of the wheel rim. Unless you are buying a new wheel rim you cannot put a 16 inch tire on a 15 inch rim. If I'm wrong, someone else please weigh in. Gary

I traded up from a V-star 1100, which felt like it was at it's limits on the interstate, to a Venture a year and a half ago. YOU WON'T BE SORRY! It's a heavy bike but you will get used to it. Nuf Said. -
Take your original seat and send it to Rick Butler. He'll re sculpt it and put in memory foam. You'll love the difference.

Absolutely you can. I have a nice mid size box, and every three years or so I will upgrade it with a new motherboard and chip. If it's not too old, go to the intel website, and look up your chip. It will tell you which motherboard types (socket LGA 775,1155) etc. Then buy the right board. If it's too old, consider a bare bones combo of motherboard, processor and memory, as long as they'll fit in your box. Older PC's used IDE hard drives; newer ones use SATA. After you hook everything up, boot to the CD and install the new drivers, then re-boot. Your old hard drive, programs, etc will work.

I couldn't tear myself away. Put it on my list of places to see when I no longer have to work for a living.

I make my own ammo, except for .22lr and shotgun. I invested in reloading equipment a few years ago. I Reload .38special, .380, 9mm, 45acp, and .45colt. Brass is reusable, powder is cheap and lasts a long time. Once or twice a year I buy primers (local stores, they are hazardous mat'ls to ship) and bullets (mail order). If you shoot a lot it costs a lot less than buying boxed ammo. when I go to my monthly matches I can go through 80 pistol rounds , 80 rifle rounds, and 50 shotgun rounds.

Stock Pillow Seats?
gmarshall replied to Wayne McClain's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
The butler mod is: you send your seat to Rick butler in Texas ans he resculpts it and puts memory foam in it. I did my pillow top seat and I love it. You can find him on the forum:cool10:- 22 replies

OK guys, you got me wondering If I could retire too. I'm 61 and have a pension from the state of nj for 25 years in government. Working full time in Ohio. My big question is about health insurance. If your retirement was not planned, how do you handle the health insurance issue. That is the only thing that really worries me about retiring and there aren't too many places to get advice. I'd love to hear your views.
