  1. Tourers like a two cylinder? External oil tank? Guess they only talked to Harley riders. This article is full of misspellings and bad grammar. Can't anyone write well anymore?
  2. At that price I'll have to wait 10 to 15 years before the price will come into an area that I'd pay for a bike, but by then I'll be 75 to 80 years old and will be riding a jazzy scooter:whistling:
  3. Lots of history in that area. Get to fort Ticonderoga if you can.
  4. that is a beauty!
  5. Mustard goes on a hot dog, not cat soup. What were you thinking?
  6. Yes, do the skyline drive. I think you'll like the ride thru Colorado on us 50. A great place for eats and a brew is the Horsefly Brewery in montrose. If you want to go a little of your planned route, I suggest Colorado National Monument outside Grand Junction. It is spectacular. Gary
  7. Was at Deadwood last year, before bike week. Crowds are not my thing. MEH. The casinos are small and crappy. Its a tourist trap. Same for Sturgis. The motorcycle museum is small and expensive. Best part of my trip: Badlands nat'l Park, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, interesting roads for a Bike, wild burros and buffalo, There's a cave in the area, and although we didn't get there, Devils Tower is not far away. Wall drug is another tourist trap. That's my 2 cents. Gary
  8. I sold my Venture and a v-star 650 and bought an 03 VTX 1300S. Nice moderate weight and size, good balance and some pep. No complaints.
  9. There was a recent article about him and his history in our local paper. http://www.gazette.com and do a search for him.
  10. Thats the Dragonman. He has a range and museum not too far from here. He's a little kooky and a local fixture. I haven't been to misplace yet, so if you want to go visit him let me know.
  11. I bought a red 1300S last year at this time with 9k miles for $4 grand. I would thing its worth $4500+ depending if there are any extra goodies (safety chrome, pipes, bags, windshield.
  12. MEH! Not for me.
  13. I WANT ONE!
  14. Rick did my 06 RSV. I recommend it for the good of your butt.
  15. Probably wasn't much traffic either.
  16. With comcast you have to threaten to leave, and ask for their retention dept. They upped my bill about $40 per month when my old contract ended. I called and got $30 taken off. I'd switch but we really like the DVR service.
  17. Going to ride on nice days. Like yesterday is was 55 after hitting 0 overnite Thursday. if you don't like the weather in Colorado, just wait an hour or two.
  18. If it's muscular, not broken bones, find a good chiropractor. When I hurt my back I walked into the chiro office all bent over like a 100 year old man, got immediate relief and was able to walk out standing tall. They know the bones and muscles. Muscle relaxers from an MD just aren' cutting it. imho, been there. G
  19. Last night on 60 minutes they did a piece about economic development in the golden triangle area of Mississippi. The director of the development agency rode off on his Venture to go to a meeting with a prospective company in one scene. It was two tone red and black. i don't know what year that makes it. anyone from that area, or is her member? (He should be). Gary
  20. Somebody must be falling for this scam, otherwise they would stop trying. I've had the same experience with many other things on craigslist. It's usually easy to see thru the scams. I always say "local pickup only" and "scammers, don't waste my and your time , cuz I'm wise to you". I am however, sending my bank account info to the guy in Nigeria so I can get half of the $15 million he will send me. G
  21. Nice Ride!!!
  22. I bought a mac and don't suffer from any of that windows stuff anymore
  23. Sorry but before I can believe your story I need to see the pictures.
  24. It's legit. It's about air pollution. Shades of Volkswagen diesel scandal.
  25. Forget the mess, I want other more about the holster business.
