  1. Damn, I was gonna guess the back end of a venture.
  2. I load pistol, rifle, and shot shell. When I was cowboy action shooting I would go thru 5 or 6 boxes of .45 colt in an afternoon. At over $50 a box that was an expensive day. Thats initially why I started reloading. Now I do it because I have all the equipment, so over time it's cheaper and I do enjoy going to the basement and making 100 rounds or so at a time. I recently bought a MEC 600 Jr. 12 ga shotshell reloader at a gun show for $60. If you really enjoy it just do it. My
  3. Unless I missed something years ago, an F-16 is a Falcon or a Fighting Falcon.
  4. Shooting a .22 1911 is like kissing your sister
  5. Aw, you guys got it all wrong. I'm not talking about a magazine, or the jump over the London Bridge with a sport bike. It's a tv show on AMC. G
  6. The new season of Ride with Norman Reedus featured Norman and Jeffery Dean Morgan (Negus) on bikes in London. On visiting the Tower of London, They met the Beefeaters that guard the Tower. the Beefeaters also live in housing within the tower walls. Some of them ride, and I think I saw a brief shot of a first gen Venture. Check it out and see if I'm right. Gary
  7. Have you tried adding highway pegs? They may ease your knee pain by allowing youth stretch out more when riding. I've put pegs on all of the bikes I've owned. G
  8. Costco is a great place to get hearing aids. the testing is free, and the price is much less that a hearing store. Been wearing one in my left ear for a year and a half. The boss was getting tire of my asking "what did you say".
  9. Unclecj' suggestion is the way to go; a second tank in series or a bigger tank. Everything else is too complex. My
  10. Thanks for the memories.
  11. Jeff, It's possible your sewer pipe was damaged by the gas company when they put in their new pipe. The best thing to do is have the line tv inspected. Be there and see the footage in real time. Don't take someone's word for it. I would also discourage you from trying to fix the problem wit 5 foot sections of pic and glue joints. Every joint is a place for fibrous material to collect, leading to a clog. That's why real sewer pipe (green color) has push together sockets and is installed in one direction only. I would also think you may need a building permit for this work (each town is different). My 2 cents Retired from 44 years in sewer utilities. Gary
  12. My Tonno Pro is 5 1/2 years old. Due to the Colorado sun, the threading around the edges is starting to go. Other than that, I've had no problems. I did however, just decide and ordered a hard cap, which is due in a few weeks. Got tired of crawling under the cover to get something that rolled to the front.
  13. Stop looking!
  14. Was up in Tawas last weekend, and the color wasn’t real strong yet.
  15. holy crap!
  16. Sounds to me like you may want to go south to Alamosa way. Smaller city. Fairly rural. the eastern plains of Co are always windy and get some severe weather. Unless you head up into the mountains , the weather in the front range is fairly mild. I've found some warm days to ride every month of the year. My 2 cents Gary in colorado springs
  17. Didn't know you were into that style Bike.
  18. I was underwhelmed by my visit there a few years back. I say to skip it unless it's one of those " I was there" things. G:witch_brew:
  19. This bike looks well kept and clean. Seller says 25k miles on a new motor. Can someone point me to a first gen issues posting? Thanks in advance. G
  20. Glad you like your new ride. PS Black cherry is the best color. I had 2006 and 42 mpg I thought was respectable. Gary:thumbsup2:
  21. 45/70 is an old blackpowder cartridge. .45 calibre over 70 grains of black powder. I think most of the buffalo were taken with this powerful calibre. I used to shoot cowboy action, and never saw anyone using a 45/70 Marlin. Most used .38 special, .44 special .45colt in model 1873's, Marlins, or Henry's.
  22. .44 magnum revolver. If you don't have a good grip on it, it will recoil and smack you in the forehead. At least is shows so on youtube.
  23. You'll find being empty nesters a whole new experience. And then maybe someday GRANDCHILDREN. More to love.
  24. Too rich for my blood. I seem to be going for quantity over quality ( not saying buy junk ) and have not had an issue withered firearms. Most of the time they're like used motorcycles. People buy them with great plans, but they never get used, then they sell them. Will gladly let someone else eat the initial depreciation.
