I love to read bike adds on Craig's list some of my favorite ones I'm selling this for a friend = " never took care and is embarrassed to tell you it's theirs " might need carb cleaning = "dosent run" ran when put it away. X. Years = " rust in tank, cracked tires, gummed up ... " Dosnt have title = " stolen " easy fix = " then you fix it and don't say parts are on eBay " one guy said he likes scammers and enjoys the banter. I watch the bike adds all the time and in the Minneapolis CL you post anything that's not motorcycle related you get flagged.

Looks great Tom . And I'll bet it has brakes to. Was fun to meet up at the L.L.R. last year and I'll see you soon and I'll bring my Wing buddy and we'll share some more life stories.

I will negotiate like this. I'm asking $5.00 for something and they offer .50¢ less I'll ask if they will pay .50¢ more $5.50. I will sometimes ask a general question on CL just to establish a contact and kind of get a feel for the seller.

Go for a ride and you'll feel a lot better. Seams to help cure me.

This was given to my from a Craig's list add, I was the only one that showed any interest and the guy said " If you come today I'll give it to you" It isn't pretty but a ton of fun. The very first time we raised the sail. knowing nothing we looked at a sales broacher of this 1976 Watkins W23 on a laptop in the driveway and figured out where most everything went, Wires , ropes, mainsail, jib. I had to make a tiller handle and after sailing her for the first time I welded new rollers as needed to the trailer. Fixed the main sail and cleaned it out . This sat in the guys yard and had hornet nests and 6" of pine needles . I told the bride the only thing between me and a midlife crises is the dam in the Mississippi . Karen said that she would give me a ride past that. I sure talk tough.

How did you get Hooked - Picture of your first motorcycle?

1974 Yamaha TX 500 Not my first bike but my first street bike .I just turned 16 and my folks said they would co-sign on a loan if I took a MC safety course. That has stuck with me ever since. And my house payment is more a month than the total loan on the 500. My first mini bike was a car starter motor and 2 battery's hit the button and whoosh you were off. -
Really ? Eck your my go to Wing guy. you have been kind to send me GW adds when I'm looking and dreaming of them.

Shutup and Take My Money! Would you buy this?

"Now my Gerber tool, it is rare that I go a whole day without using it somewhere. " I would say I'm in the same boat. When I first got a multi tool (Gerber ) I'd forget I had it but now, really not a day goes by that I don't use it . Had made a pouch that has the light holder to because when you get older you need glasses ,light and a multi tool -
Man does that look great -9° this morning and the thought of ridding is in the air. Thanks Eck

Here is another story along the same lines about assumptions. One day a woman was waiting at the airport and her plane was delayed. She bought fresh-baked cookies and headed to the VIP lounge. She sat down and began to read. A young man sitting next to her was also reading, and the cookies were between them. She reached into the bag of cookies and grabbed one. The young man did the same. The young woman was perturbed -- "Why is he eating my cookies," she wondered. This continued until there was just one left, which he grabbed and split in half. She was angry so she left the lounge and went to board her plane. On the plane, she reached into her purse and her heart sank. There were her cookies, unopened and uneaten. The young man had shared his cookies without saying a word, even splitting his last one to share with her, before she stormed off. This short story's creator is unknown, but he or she certainly tackles the issue of assumption, and its consequences, head on. This story forces all of us to wonder how many times we may have been in this same situation, and reacted similarly, without realizing that we were actually the recipients of the kindness of strangers. The Packers beat the Seahawks, then they beat themselves. -
Couple of things, It seems to be gaining momentum and that's a good thing. The USPS gets so few packages they spread the work around so everyone looks busy.

I think if there was real concerns they would shut this down in a heart beat. Living 300 miles from the North Dakota fields and see the prosperity this has brought to the area, and some not so good things too .and they are claiming so much oil that the railways are busy all the time. There are trains running all the time with nothing but oil. The middle east has lowered their prices so much to discourage Fracking and trying to make it not finically lucrative that a barrel of oil runs $65.00+ - . Gas in my area is $2.24 a gal.

I'm with Puc on wanting to hunt these "Hogs" . I just said yesterday at the last day of our fire arms season at deer camp with my closest friend in the world who I met 26 years ago hunting in the same spot ,I wish we had them hogs here in Minnesota to hunt. He just said "no you don't" . We had another great year . My friend Garry tagged a buck 3 weeks ago and I let some smaller ones go by and never shot my gun.We stay in a Toyota 1 ton motor home for the last 20 years and it's something we look forward to every year , just wish the years wouldn't go by so fast. Last Thursday night the temp got to -1° but we stay warm in the "Turtle" then by Sunday it was 40° and raining. I try never to wish time away but I can't wait till next year.

bill in mn replied to cowpuc's topic in Watering Hole
Sorry to hear about your Dad. We will keep all of you in our prayers during this challenging time. "He and Jesus were very close friends" this helps everyone of faith knowing that. God bless .
