More weight forward keeps the trailer from being tail heavy, if it's tail heavy it will wag side to side in addition to pulling up on your rears. The only solution is to slow down or reload. I can tell you that most boat trailers are probably hitch heavy and we move the axles forward or the boat back. I'm not sure that 20% is the magic number and my bike trailer is not that heavy but if you pulled a camper that would be a lot of tongue weight. The other reason to have chains is if the trailer did come off and you were forced by traffic to stop quickly, the trailer doesn't slam into the towing vehicle uncontrolled. The chains need to be long enough to make the widest turn but not touch the ground. If you are using hooks they should be rated at or above the chain strength.

I can tell you on our hot days, with the same temperature out, on newly overlaid roads the temp jumps up noticably, like 20 degrees. Ask an over the road driver if they see more tire pieces on the roadway when it's very warm out or cold. I would think that heat and friction all have to do with tire wear in addition to the roadway surface type. When determining the minimum speed a vehicle was traveling prior to a crash, you determine the coefficient of friction of the roadway surface, or surfaces. More friction and your stopping distance will be shorter and the more efficient your tires will be gripping the surface ( go and wowe) .

I would start off by getting cable lube and lube each cable and assure they are mooving freely. The box also has a spring in it that pulls the cruise cable back up, if you have had it apart make sure it is oriented correctly. -
I would give no password a try or admin as a password.

Your chains should be crossed and set to length so that if the trailer came unhitched it would cradle the tongue and keep it off the ground. This gives you the ability to safely pull over and reconnect. It may give you a jerk but not much more than if it was connected to the ball. Going forward your tire would kick the trailer back away. Just like a blown tire, if your trailer came loose you stay off the brake and throttle and steer to a stop.

I would drain the fuel from the tank and pull the petcock. look at the screens, and see id they aren't clogged with junk or that the screen is serviceable. Good opportunity to get a look at the inside of your tank also to assess the condition. I would look at the hose from your filter, if I remember right that does a 180, make sure it's not kinked before the pump. If that's all good I would start with fresh clean gas and give it a shot

I put my new pipes in a box and stored them. I have rk pipes , drilled and mounted and I like the mellow rumble. No highway drone, just enough to satisfy me. Now my truck, I cut the thrush muffler off of it and pitched it when I was on my way to gun season. It wasn't bad in town but the highway was awful.

Fuel pump issue

Don't put dielectric grease on your contact points, it's non conductive, you put it around the wires and and connectors or over a good connector to fight off corrosion. -
I agree with the relay's. On anything electrical that I add I set relays on them and put my fuses as close to the battery as I can get them.

echo playboy, I have never seen a sidecar on the left side of a bike . . . looks nice though

now you must record a video of it starting and running so we can hear them. Once painted stick some fishtail ends on those puppies -
Didn't have any problems on the first gen without mic mutes and the second gen works the same as my first gen did ( Only the back seat driver can't control the radio on a second gen ). The bottom line is while wearing your headset , if you don't have mic mutes, when you want to say something, just talk. Radio on , off, cassette, ipod, cb on doesn't matter. Want to talk on the cb, push the button and talk. Talk when you want, listen when you have to . . .

Anytime more than one thing electrical has an issue I look at my grounds, usually a common ground.
