  1. It's not the IV volume it's the AV ( Automatic volume) set 0 to 5 . Turn it to 3 or 2, thats what adjusts the volume on your sound system when loud external noises go by ( Ie harleys)
  2. Unless they did a mod it should combine the antennas, I took the combiner off of my 89 and added an am/fm and it made a difference in my fm reception and I believe improved the CB also.
  3. Never ever tell it you want to remove it from a pop up. I would always close using task manager then update and run my malware and virus scanners. . . .
  4. Reformat and reload or buy a new back to school if it will do what you want. I have seen some good prices, just because you ride a first gen doesn't mean u gotta use an 8088, lol
  5. I love the Venture. There are things my wife liked better about the first gen than the second gen and some things on the second that are an improvement over the first. You can find a lot of well maintained gently used bikes out there and save a ton of cash, and a lot still in the 5 year warranty period. I bought a new bike last year and was also very close to buying one a few years old for half the money. I had retired a few years ago and my wife pushed me to get a new one. I also tried a Can Am spyder, a ultra glide and a wing when considering a new bike. My wife has had several back and hip surgeries and preferred the ride and her fit on the venture.
  6. I pay dish the $5.00 a month maintenance, never charged for a service call or equipment swap and always out in 24hrs or less. Rain fade, no matter what service you have get the installer to put in a larger dish or grab one out of Canada, bigger dish will take the fade away. Bigger dish with proper aiming will make you happier.
  7. larger calibre please, still nice
  8. I would like to see yamaha push out a stock trike venture, integrate hands free feature into the electronics, heated grips and seats and a bigger trunk

  11. We have had cable, direct and now dish for about. Last 6 yrs. we have upgraded 2 hoppers and 4 joeys and love it. The dish guy told me I could not push my signal from a joey to multiple tvs , he ws wrong, i use a modulator and splitter so I can pull tv to my garage and spare room, works great. Records primetime plus 2 channels on each hopper...

  14. the grease is non conductive and goes on the seal not on the pins. Also check the two white rectangular connectors and look at those pins, make sure none are green. Next look under the rear seat, round connectors there.

  17. Just for smits and giggles , clear your cookies and search for an item and see what appears. Most search engines take the info from your cookies. If you search for a new helmet you will C ad's for helmets . . . If you searched for awesome motorcycles, you will see second gen's
  18. I read the instructions for my steibel horn, it has a plastic L that pushes in from underneath and suggests some hose to a protected place. http://www.bikerhiway.com/images/stebel/mountingbolt.jpg My question is, without getting too personal, has anyone who mounted one of these run a hose and if so where is your "protected place" ??
