  1. Muscle memory, repeat them over and over and they become second nature. When ewe trained officers we recorded the evoc training and in part because people would say I'm not doing that, then watch the video and realize they were. We all pick up bad habits and don't realize it and the best thing we can do is remind each other and readjust our skills. Kudos
  2. Wife and I went to the Chicago Motorcycle Show and checked out lots of cool stuff and both ended up with new brain buckets that weigh about 1/4 of what the old ones weigh. One of the coolest things I saw was a "Park N Move" for the garage. They make two models one that would work with a first gen and one that works with a second gen. Does anyone with a second gen here have or use one?? I questioned if it was tall enough, the guy demo's it with a Harley but to me it looks like the Harley is lower to the ground. Here is a video I grabbed from youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dHOvrSlNrdM#!
  3. I went to the motorcycle show in Chicago this weekend and told my wife on the way I wanted to take the class, they have one in Michigan. I have the dvd and when weather breaks I will map out some drills on a parking lot to practice with. very cool and congrats
  4. I get mine at truck supply, farm and fleet or construction supply , I Love made in the USA long, as can't be made in China. Good ones will be rust resistant with a wide thick strap. OSHA straps are even more money but are tested and taken care of will last you a lifetime. . .
  5. Thats sweet, I use gps drive on my iphone plugged into the aux and also put on pandora. U Hear the music and turn by turn instructions
  6. strawberry Chocolate bowl thing
  7. even .22lr is scarce, I have been looking for some .40 and can I tell U about gouging
  8. I know ozone can cause problems, old scuba gear instructions, but I would think that all the rubber would suffer cracking, not just the sidewalls near the rim. I do think it would start in the thinnest (weakest) walls first and work it's way out. This is what you see in an old, like 10 year old, trailer tire that is constantly exposed to the weather. and not supposed to use protectants on bike tires, just bad for grip and I need all the grip I can have. . .
  9. isn't the front left connected to the rear, it could be the rear master has a valve thats not working or it needs to be rebuilt
  10. Is she wearing a brain bucket?? Taller wider great for highway, baggershield might be a good alternative if u ride in town alot
  11. Brother lives out there and said everyone waited till last minute and the stores and gas stations :bang head:were hit hard. He complained about the lines to buy extra gas for his generator so I asked him why he waited till the last minute but complained about his fellow shoppers.
  12. I never did this with my 89 but must with my boat and truck, so I must ask does anyone index their plugs?? I know it's carbureted but could it effect the way it runs ??
  13. So the bike is camera shy??
  14. When I replaced the 89 Venture Royale I was convinced I wanted a spyder, so I test rode one and neither myself or the wife liked it. We tried a Hardley and again it was not as comfey and I felt bull legged plus another 11,ooo to get less than the venture, she did not like the back seat on the wing or Kaw but loved the venture. So yeah
  15. While riding around I have seen piles of words just sittin on the side of the road, always wondered who left those words there, next time I will check for back spaces
  16. The Grammys are a political game that takes place between elite entertainers who make way more money than us and don't work nearly as hard. They take time out of their schedules, not that they are busy, to pat themselves on their back and tell people how relevant and important they are. They want us to pay more tax to feed the poor but they don't like to pay the tax on all the free gifts that they receive at the Grammy's. They dont want you to have guns but hire people with guns to protect them. They tell us what we need to do while they do the opposite, do as I say, not as I do because wait wait they are celebrities. They tell us we need to drive smart cars to save gas while their luxury cars idle for hours, they have mansions with servants and fly most everywhere on private jets. I would be shocked to find one was actually a working guy or gal and rode a venture, actually knew what maintenance day was, knew how to do a clutch upgrade, bleed their breaks. . . They are probably for progressive springs, I mean they like anything progressive.
  17. I need to talk to my wife and find out when she had time to jump on the back of all ure bikes. . .
  18. Yep I agree, usually watch it with the sound off butt now thats a bust or aah no bust. I just wondered if a celebrity ever got workmans comp from patting themselves on the back and causing elbow pain in the process. . . .
  19. You will get used to it and look at some of the mods that make handling easier, a few minor changes will make a huge difference in feel. . . Congrats
  20. I agree, I'm still workin so I'm still young
  21. Reminds you to check those date codes
  22. try replacing both the clutch and brake fluid.
  23. I had a friend who lost a tire last year and the end result was his wife passed away from the accident. The Indiana Highway Patrol investigated the accident and the tire blew out, she came off the bike and was hit by the bike killing her. I will never again argue about tires the cost is just not worth the pain he lives with so I for one will spend the cash to replace my tires before they even look bad. When in doubt I will change it out. . . Ride on
