On exhaust, do you have aftermarket or rk mufflers, my first thought is they are leaking at the clamp and you are getting a decel pop The helmet may need some foam panned out to recess the speakers, pull back the liner and you could try a forstner bit the size and take a little out, recess your speakers and pull the liner back in. Is the horn factory?? Most change out with a bad boy or steibel.

When I had my 89 I was having some crazy issues, replacing the fuse bank was suggested, I did not think were electrically related. After upgrading the fuse panel almost all went away. There is a reason we still aren't using them so it is a worthwhile project.

We always used a socket turned backwards, you are looking for the biggest socket that just fits inside, put a short extension in through the inside of the socket, put a little permatex on the perimeter and a couple taps should seat it.
