  1. Here is what the manual says, regular unleaded gas with octane 86 or higher or "RESEARCH Gasoline" with an octane of 91 or higher, so what the heck is research gasoline?? Sooo the answer is use regular unleaded. If you find a station with "Research gas with an octane rating of 91 or higher" please take pictures, cuz I don't know what that is.

Jeff is that a second relay or are you still using a 10 sec from brake light ?
  7. Dangle this into a cup with penetrating oil and let it soak overnight. A screw extractor should get it out if it will grip that puppy.

  12. The doctor told me most people with the surgery have almost as much pain after than before. I get up and stretch, stand on stairs facing up, toes on the end of the steps and go up on your toes hold for three or four seconds and down and hold for three or four seconds. Do this for about five minutes. Also do this when you have pain and take some Aleve , elevating when resting. The doctor made me some orthotics and also told me to get some new shoes, ugly and slightly expensive birkenstocks for work and cautioned me not to wear the same shoes over and over, changing shoes daily and no barefoot or sandals. Didn't have surgery but his advice has helped a ton

  14. take as many pictures as you can, use your phone if needed or have someone with a camera e-mail them to you. If you need them they will be handy, if not it will be a reminder. Great luck.
  15. first thing drain the gas and drain the carbs. Give it a soaking with seafoam or techtron for a few days, then drain it and add new gas treated with a double dose of seafoam or techtron. Put new plugs in it and start it up. You want it to run so the low idle jets get unclogged. Next if it still a problem you might try checking your manifold for pinhole leaks, they are known to go bad. If they are bad buy new ones from skydoc If they are good, sync is in order. If you have it running touch each exhaust and see if you have a cold exhaust.
  16. never could get my plactic welder from HF to work very well
  17. crush washer is missed alot, it's cheap and should be replaced each oil change, also I am a fan of torquing that oil drain bolt to specs 31 ft lbs and for the filter 12 ft lbs. washer part number is 214-11198-01-00 just a note the mechanic at the stealorship carries the yama and he said he uses honda's washer thats the same size because they are half the money, made by the same company and he buys them in bulk. Since the new bike is under warranty I use all Yama's parts.
  18. I would check to see if the cb was on first, try turning that off Not sure what bike you are talking, on first gen the antennas go through a am/fm cb combiner on second gen your cb should be on the left ( It has the tuning coil ). If you are on a first gen try bypassing the combiner ( Do not key up your cb while antenna disconnected).
  19. I agree, soo many things wrong is usually pointing to a bad , burned or broken ground
  20. I replaced mine on my boat motor with an ethanol rated fuel line and it was little more, you can see a lining inside. Ethanol eats the rubber, if your fuel filter has a black tinting that Is the hose breaking down and the hose is not all that long. You should be able to find it in a marine or at a auto store . . . the hose rating will be stamped on the hose and you can do a search on the rating. Marine hose is stamped us coast guard, but because it's stamped does not give it an ethanol rating, you want SAE J1527 . http://www.fishsafe.info/Ethanol%20&%20Biodiesel%20Fact%20Sheet.pdf
