Gear oil would not be green, I agree it's coolant and that is easy enough to top off. I have changed my gear oil without removing the bag. Let me know how the painting goes, I have the same bike and I now have a scratch on the trunk. I was trying to figure out how it got there and I am pretty sure now it was a shopping cart. It was not there before my trip to MD but when I cleaned her after home it was there.

As a reminder if anyone welds on your car, truck or scoot. Unplug the cdi, have them ground on the piece to be welded and if they move, move the ground again on the piece being welded. The reason is that every day people smoke cdi's and wiring when the piece being welded seeks a ground. Once repaired clean well, prime and coat of paint.

I use maguires CLEAR PLASTIC AND VINYL WINDOW WAX, often find this in a marine shop. Maguires plastic cleaner polish works also, this is great on the rest of the bike

Need to put tracks on it, I had a short ride in loose sand and had the sensation I was goin down the whole time and I knew if I stopped I was in trouble. Not a fan of gravel and take that fairly slow, faster than a crawl but not by much.

I search for cool off the main path kind of places and then just stay off main roads. A lot of very cool Americana is on the old primary's that are now the secondary roads. Look for small towns and just ride there and look around, you will be surprised at what you find at the places you have been riding by.

They stopped that cd player in the left side bag or trunk and replaced it with an isimple and an ipod. The cord for the isimple to ipod / iphone is like 6' long. Unplug and run it through the grommet for the bag so your phone connector is outside the bag and plug it in. You can control the ipod or iphone from your radio controls and it charges it.

You can do the tie rod , can b a pain to break free but it is a simple enough task to get it close. Take an accurate measurement, disassemble and then reassemble to the same measurements. It will be good enough to get you to an alignment appointment . check your wheel bearings and calipers to make sure you don't have a stuck piston. you want to jack the front end up to get the weight off, grab all of your joints and check for play. It really sounds like breaks though, if it was simple geometry and you would feel it increase in frequency with speed. It would be noticeable on a rougher surface.

So are you using synthetic reception fluid? I know I am on the transmission side and it helps on the range for the CB :rotf:
