  3. we used to screw short sheet metal screws in our knobbies for snow riding. Bikes were much lighter and more responsive
  4. Mulch em up with the tractor, worms eat em add nitrogen
  5. We used to ride to high school and there was a long line of bikes, don't remember any crotch rockets in the 70's but a lot of enduro's and a few kz1000
  6. but do you think he has a washing machine motor rigged so he can back up
  7. try looking at shipping by greyhound, shipped a bumper that way and was a ton cheaper.

  9. I remember they had a bigger one with a pto on the back, used to move boats with it
  10. Yep the stick will put it to em, if it's recovered find a club and use it on the steering wheel.
  11. You are in our prayers Jeff, keep positive and follow directions
  12. doesn't the tour deluxe have efi 1300cc
  13. Marine stabil, double for storage with full tank of fresh gas. If you aren't sure if there are additives in the gas drain and add all fresh. Run the bike to make sure the treated gas is in the carbs. I would do all of my service in the fall and the next if close enough in miles and when done clean and cover with the bike on a tender so it's ready for a long ride.
  14. I use a waterproof boat bag, roll it and seal the top. kind of like space saver but more stout. Always keep a swimmers chamois to dry me off and another for the bike.
  15. Nado sirens here and a ton of rain, 3 hours after predicted
  16. A crush washer and torque wrench , tighten to 31 ft lbs
  17. My doc told me I could loose weight or be on medicine the rest of my life and still feel like crap. I chose to give up on my love for sugar. Started out with Atkins because it is easy and always worked for me, always dropped weight fast but would rebound almost as fast. Now I get all my carbs from fruit, eat very little processed food, enjoy meat and fish, gave up on diet drinks so water and coffee black are my drink of choice. Still dropping weight and feel much better. I actually think we are sugar junkies. Just a note my niece is teaching in China again this year, 3rd year, she is a health junkie and is very regimented about her portions and her diet. She gained ten pounds here over the summer before going back. The only difference she saw was that in China all the food is fresh and they eat very little processed or preserved foods. She also commented on how they eat every part of an animal and the funny thing is parts we discard they treat as delicacies, like tongue and fish heads, , , I still remember my grandparents used to make cow brain, tongue, mountain oysters. . . and I think how we have become spoiled as a people. U make home made bread and it goes bad in a couple days if not eaten, store bought can stay good for weeks, there is just something wrong with that. I know two officers who were having medical issues, one was a Mountain Dew fanatic and it turned out he has a yellow dye problem and another has a red dye allergy. When you stop and look at the foods that add die to make them appeal to us it starts to make you wonder what all we are shoving in our pie wholes. I personally don't think the artificial preservatives and sweeteners are very good for you and since changing my diet, my tastes have changed also. Happy eating
  18. My 03 ram , I drove by the tac for best MPG's it had the 5.9l and liked 70 mph . The 12 ram gets at least 4mpg better but likes 80mph. Tires full of air and good gas, cheap gas will kill your mpg.
  19. agree with everything said, I didn't like the 404's and tires and their condition can change everything. Raise the front and spin the tire with your hand just rubbing the tire to see if you have any cupping. Check the air pressure in front shocks just to see they are even. Tire pressure is everything, check the date code on those tires, you want the rubber to be 5 years or newer.
