I spoke to a guy with a $20.00 fix, he just went to a dollar set and got an iphone earphones with mic. Took the headphones apart, Slipped the speakers next to his headset speaker and taped his mic to his other mic. Other option is to get a cellset of bluetooth gps.

you need to pull all your connections and check clean dry..., put dielectric grease around the rim of the seal and reconnect. You can spray contact cleaner to dry or attend to any green pins you find. Also two white rectangular shaped connectors up there. Also check under the rear passenger seat connectors and if you are riding 1 up make sure the cap is on the clean and dry passengers plug. If it's not that it's in your headset.
