  3. Mine has never changed, clear. Did u get moisture inside??
  4. patience with that, usually something is on the latch end, sometimes less is more with pressure. Two people, one pushing down on the cover and the second pushing down and tapping on the lock. . . finesse it open.
  5. Rear plug comes out from under back seat on kick stand side.
  6. This is what I think you are looking for, most cars using 5 wires use a 5 flat but the 5th wire is actually for reverse. I think most imports would have an isolator / converter when set up to tow or have a common 7 pin to be universal. http://www.hopkinstowingsolutions.com/doc/trailer_wiring_codes.pdf http://www.hopkinstowingsolutions.com/support/wiring-guides.html The problem is with the 5 round their is not a standard in the US http://www.etrailer.com/question-15255.html
  7. I have used an oil filter for a long time, I would think the oil would be drawn in from the suction created , almost act as a choke initially. . .
  8. Y not just put in the converter and pull the trailer with the standard 4 flat, http://www.hopkinstowingsolutions.com/products/vehicle-wiring-connectors/power-taillight-converters/short_proof_power_converter.html the isolator will protect vehicle wiring , turn the bike to 4 flat and you can still use your trailer behind a vehicle with no modifications.
  9. not sure how you weighed it, I would suggest taking it to a drive on scale, like a truck scale or scrap yard... and ask for an accurate weight. When we weighed trucks we weighed all tires at once, or a hanging scale and lift it for a total weight. That big I would still consider some trailer breaks, even if you adjust them on the light side they will be a huge plus if you go to lockup.
  10. Worked, you look smarter already
  11. Every state has a department that is charged with an insurance oversight. Pull some sold's from ebay and ask some local dealers what they sold a like one for. They will be happy to share some paperwork, minus the owners info if you ask them right. You are lookin for kbb retail in fair condition, not wholesale or or trade in. It's worth more in scrap than what they are offering. Don't sign a thing and ask to speak to a supervisor. They only have to speak with the insured.
  12. Thoughts and prayers for you and your friend. It reminds us that spending time with family and friends is more important to do today, we don't know what we get tomorrow.
  13. that is more efficient than the prioux :cool10:
  14. If you are worried about junk in your tank, unhook the petcock and drain it into a gas can and add fresh. I like the idea of having enough to get me to a gas station.
  15. I saw a go pro knock off at Menards for $50.00, peaked my curiosity but I was in a hurry.
  16. We have a port a pottie rental company that sometimes sells used potties cheap. They will pump them out for a reasonable rate and they are durable. I do know people who have put RV valves on the tanks and run hose to or put them over a pit.
  17. THATS ABOUT 440 LBS EMPTY, ouch I pull the hf is about 144# so less than 300# loaded the time out camper is 325#. It looks nice but a bit heavy. I would go with trailer brakes.
  18. two white square connectors and the round ones, check for green pins. If you find any clean then add dielectric grease and reconnect.
  19. RFP wall board over cement board will hold up
  20. and prime and seal with a good exterior paint. Well vented is very important, vents high and low for summer, close them in winter.
  21. It's not about radials and bios ply, and I know that manufacturers are putting both on bikes. It's about the compound of the rubber and the style of the tire. (design and function) and those recommendations are current. Even within manufacturers it's not advisable to run with a Dunlop 404 on the front and E3 on the rear and visa versa. Bias vs. Radial "Not all tires are created equally. Or rather, not all tires are created in the same way. Bias and radial tires are both very different in the ways they are made and, unless approved by either the motorcycle or tire manufacturer, they should not be mixed on the same bike. Because of the differences in the way they are constructed, the two types of tires both have different advantages and disadvantages and most motorcycles are designed to work with one or the other. Trying to switch up the tires will most likely lead to more disadvantages than improvement in ride quality." 2 - Front and Rear Tire Matching http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.com/info-center/care-and-maintenance/ Remember, the correct matching of front and rear tires is important to obtain optimum performance and handling. Follow the Tire Selection guidelines. Mount only tires marked “front wheel” on the front position and only tires marked “rear wheel” on the rear position. A new front tire with a worn rear tire can cause instability. Mixing radials, or mixing radials with bias or belted-bias tires, may adversely affect handling and stability, and should only be done when specifically fitted and/or recommended by an OE vehicle manufacturer. It should be noted that many factors other than tire incompatibility can affect the handling of a motorcycle, including the weight and height of the rider, mixing worn with unworn tires and the fitment of luggage or fairings. Consult the motorcycle manufacturer before making modifications from stock. Can I mix tyre construction front to rear? http://www.avonmotorcycle.com/ Yes, but only to the combinations below:- Front Rear Radial Radial Bias Radial X-ply Radial Bias Bias X-ply Bias X-ply X-ply
