Always leery of stopping underpasses, not a safe place in high wind or extreme weather and it seems a spot a lot of folks shoot for and a lot of accidents there in bad weather. If you ride you will ride in the rain. A good suit, foot gaiters and good tires will get you through. Other than that a store or restaurant will hold you over. I would suggest a weather app for your smartphone that will alert you of severe weather based on your location. Still sometimes severe weather like tornado's are unpredictable, we also found out NOAA can't see tornado's in the rain, radar doesn't show them. Pay attention to your surroundings.

Make a Y harness with some bullet connectors and it would be plug n play

I like the HF deal, 4' long is ok for length but I think it's a bit wider than you want ( the HF frame is 29" wide with the wheels sitting outside that) . More concerned with weight. A longer tongue helps and remember not to keep her tail heavy. The hitch is an easy build but easier bought and not too hard on the wallet. You are not too far away if you need anything or want to try to pull one. I think you want to narrow it down, not too hard of a project. Don't want a heavy frame since you aren't pulling that much weight, I am close enough to lend a hand. I might have an old car topper in storage.

im sure it's full of coorosion from battery leakage. Try dropping it in some white white vinegar over night.

I have had pavers and I prefer stamped concrete, just fyi. a mini skid for a small project is the way to go. If it's a water issue consider puttin in a french drain. . .
