    Custom World International backrest

    Added CWI Backrest
  3. I received my drivers backrest today, Custom World International. The installation was simple and it has several adjustments. Took a ride and it was awesome. I'll try and post pictures from my phone.
  4. No installation cup holder, we had a couple of these on our boat. My wife complained last weekend as we were getting ready to leave on a ride because she has nothing to put her water in on the new bike. I grabbed one of these on the boat and it worked like a champ, EZ to store also. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Hands-Free-Neck-Coolie-Black/product/10231389/235006 I have seen these other places also. . .
  5. U would not believe how many people respond and give them the all their information. This is also why when you forward an e-mail you remove all the addresses, somewhere down the line they will become shopping lists. . .
  6. google your name in quotations, with the returns select images and look at the pictures. If you see a picture of U click on it. When it opens click on the x and it should take you to the page where the picture resides. If you put it there you can remove it, if someone copied it and is using your identity and likeness you can report it to the webmaster and ask them to remove it. If they will not you can involve law enforcement, depending on your PD and their ciber skills you may stall here. A good department would contact the owner of the site and try to determine the dns of the poster. Another strategy is to out them on the same service they are trying to use. . .
  7. Let me know what you think of the pipes
  8. Anyone got an 8 track that will fit there??
  9. I use my iphone as a gps and have it mounted on my right handlebar in one of these. I also have it in an oetter box, this claimes water resistant but it gets moisture inside when I ride in the rain. The bottom has a rubber gromet that I run my power to my cigarette lighter. Cheap and holds it nice. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Arkon-Universal-Bicycle-Motorcycle-Handlebar-Mount-with-Water-Resistant-Smartphone-Holder/15406272
  10. When I bought my bike, about a month ago, I did not receive the isimple and mp3 player. I called back and talked to the dealer about it and they checked with Yamaha, Yamaha sent it seperate to the parts department. The parts manager didn't have a clue it went with a new bike ( They had 3 on the shelf) The dealer shipped it to me and it took about 20 min to install. My only issue is that having an iphone with a ton of music you need to get down to 5 playlists for the handlebar controller. It also seems to skip, I haven't tried the iphone there because I use it as a gps also. I have been putting it in the mesh pocket in the side bag.
  11. Rode in the Ride for Vets today from Bridgeview Il to Manteno Il. Mostly Harleys but a mix of other bikes and the ride ended with several of us parking on a circle sidewalk with festivities in the middle. I had several people looking at my bike and nothing but thumbs up. I used to get those riceburners comments.
  12. My old 89 never barked or yelled in my ear, now I feel like I have a second wife. . .
  13. Gas is not all the same: My boats had an issue with gas and we got a test kit that checks ethanol, gas water. . . content. Gas stations across the street had very different gas. The cheaper one had more water and about 15% ethanol ( and we are an E-10 state) we hit several gas stations. The test kits are available from several vendors ( http://www.fuel-testers.com/ ). Our marina found repeated problems with gas and has several stations that are don't go to. We did find that the brand name slightly more expensive gas was usually but not always better quality. I also put a shot of marine stabil in my tractor, boats and my bike. Ethanol is evil stuff that eats rubber o rings and burns less efficiently than gas. That said my 89 always ran right at 40mpg and the new bike only has 600 miles on it but i suspect it's similar...
  14. I pulled the faring apart to put on a passing light kit. While she was open I put dielectric grease in the seals of the boots. After sitting overnight the squeel went away.
  15. I had my 89 lit up like a Christmas tree, I have the Harley kit and led's for the rear and they should be here before the weekend. I also ordered passing lights for the front and thinking about replacing the reflectors with leds... sooo how many is too many
  16. Ok, picked up the bike after my 600 mile service. Ended up riding in the rain and had my helmet on, my intercom or radio was squeeling off and on in my helmet. I have ridden in the rain before and it didn't do that. When I stopped and switched to speaker speakers sounded ok but it was still squeeling in the helmet . I unplugged and plugged into the rear, no squeel. Tried my wife's dry helmet and ended up with the same result.
