  1. I have a friend who was a surgeon in Canada and is now back in the US. He contrasted the difference as basically in Canada some wait times are longer because the approach is more conservative and the Canadian system is far less driven by law suits. In the US the frequency and cost of law suits has driven doctors to perform tests that you don't need and would never receive in Canada. Its basically its an argument that has no right answer. They found cancer in my wife's thyroid from a test for another condition so I like that side. The funny thing is that people from all over the world come to the US for health care so I believe that speaks volumes. . .
  2. I love wheel guns, simple. If u use an auto you need to practice tap, rack bang just in case bad things happen when bad things happen . . .

  4. I have a T2i and it is awesome, it accepts my old lenses and takes incredible pictures. In fact I took pictures of my first gen when I listed it on fleabay and it looked so good it almost looked like a second gen . . .
  5. try bank 0 and 2
  6. If you use your ipod touch using the isimple it will just stop playing in the songs where it doesn't like where you got it. Never had a problem on a good cd except for the "Best of ..." type cd's.
  7. I'll give ya a big YEP on dat one
  8. Lots of viruses imbedded in music and video downloads. With itunes you can rip your cd's , even borrowed favorites if your library lets you check them out. Make sure to stick to commercially produced cd's and you are golden. itunes hates the copy of a copy . . . and the last update hangs them up.
  9. If you served honorably , you need to take a dd214 and a short trip to your closest va clinic. Their are several levels of eligibility depending on where, when and what if anything happened to you while you served. Even at the lowest qualifying levels you qualify for a free health exam, flu and vaccine shots... and some preventative medical. They do some things I don't understand, I had to get a colonoscopy before I could have a hearing test. Medicines I get for $100.oo under insurance for a 15 day supply I get from the VA and I pay about $12.oo for a thirty day supply. They bill my insurance but my ending co-pay just ends up costing me the $12.oo This also qualifies for medical insurance under the new mandate www.1010ez.med.va.gov/sec/vha/1010ez/

  11. Crutchfield has a package of 6 for 7.99, if you order from posi's web site they have a thirty pack for 34.00. Me thinks you paid a case price for a pack. . .
  12. PB U talkin about birds or snow??
  13. My rack came with straps for the top and inside the trunk. Having owned both the first gen trunk was alot meatier than the second, I would make sure to have the straps and they need to conform to the trunk contour.
  14. Funny, I have lived in town my whole life. Used to spend summers and fall at my Grandpa's and uncles farms workin. Now I have had discussions about movin from town out in the country.
  15. In the service I carried a 1911 and a model 10, both were awesome. On the pd I carried a dan wesson, model 13, then a then a 92fs and finally a glock 21. I have shot all before and after a trip to a good gunsmith for cleanup and I can tell you that a very good weapon can become a great weapon with a little cleanup and adjustment. I would always suggest to learn good shooting habits and then practice, practice, practice. Muscle memory and experience will determine the outcome if and when you need it. If you are seeking personal protection do not seek a paper puncher to train with but a self defense shooting instructor. I didn't always have the smallest pattern but I could put six holes in the 10 ring faster than our paper punchers could get two shots off and in nature timing is everything. . .
  16. Just go for it, I have done it and I would rather do that than drive in the rain and wind. . .
  17. I bought one online and then I found one at baines farm and fleet that measured the same for about thirty bucks.
  18. I'm from Illinois and have never used one, I have a huntin buddy that tore his shoulder up wrestling with a drill and it took him dr visits and paperwork requests and he lost about a month of hunting. After we got him back in a treestand we don't understand why they don't allow it for everyone. We kind of analyzed the whole crossbow vs compound bow thing and there are pros and cons to both. We talked about it alot and if you really wanted to use one almost any dr will sign off on the medical for you and you can get a permit anyways. I just think it's over regulation and them backstraps belong on my table anyways. . .
  19. i put my cookies in the dishwasher, just not the same. Do you use air dry or heaty dry on those??
  20. My electrician said he figured out house at 16k but recommended to go to 20k and use a whole house switch. He cautioned going small could cause damage to some appliances or air units not to mention not good for the generator. I haven't taken the leap though.
  21. Been running microsoft for some time, not a problem
  22. We used to ride up to Madison from Kankakee and 294 or 355 are good choices, knowing if there is a sporting event is a good thing to know also because the after traffic can be crazy but I have taken my bike to a game and survived. Absolutely avoid rush hour and remember that Chicago drivers have to be aggressive to get around in certain areas, makes it tougher to be on two wheels at certain times of the day and 15 minutes makes all the difference in the world. I would avoid 6:30am - 10:00am 3:30-7:00pm m-f, weekend is a different animal. Absolutely do not drive the speed limit in the left / passing lanes people will let you know they are unhappy when they change lanes 4" from your front end so slower traffic keep right is a good practice or ride with the flow. The flip side is you can find some awesome rides though, like up lake shore drive, downtown at night is way cool and you will see lots of bikes in the city in different neighborhoods.
  23. I have 8 4' 2 tube lights and I have never had a problem in the cold, even at -4 , my garage is unfinished and uninsulated. . .
  24. I have a nasal steroid spray I spray in the am and about twenty minutes before bed. The first mask I had was nasel pillows, and I hated it. I now have a mask that fits over my nose, I got mine from the VA, and they had about 8 stiles of masks. It also helps to put the cpap higher up and closer to the bed. It probably took two or three weeks before I noticed a big change. I also use a netti pot when I get stuffed up, just after I cut the grass . . .
  25. I have a friend that went with demands, he has a point of use unit in the kitchen, washing mashine and half bath so a heater in each place they are needed, gas for the bathroom and electric under the sink. He must have spent some jack and is happy with the larger units but the kitchen has been a source of constant call backs. I looked at a demand system when I built my house and found out that good systems also have an auto purge but they need to be flushed also. I put in two 50 gal gas water heaters plumbed in parallel , not in a series, so each works evenly and we can run hot water all day.
