C A U T I O N ! ! ! DON'T BREATHE THE SUPER GLUE FUMES, They are bad bad bad, and it was that mistake when they found out super glue fumes develop fingerprints on hard surfaces and makes people really really sick. If you put a lamp or heat superglue, it actually produce cyanide gas.

Hearing aids gotta come out before the helmet goes on. Can't afford to loose one and mine come off when pulling the helmet off and sometimes dislodge when putting them on.

I have one of those in my garage, I bought for my first gen, and never had any luck with it. Like a soldering iron and some compressed air, I watched video's , tried on other plastics, like old dock floats, tried with the first gen and eventually it ended up sitting on my shelf collecting dust. I do have a friend that worked in a factory that does injection molding and he said the ones they use are far more complex, he tried it and his first comment was that it does not get hot enough and if I remember they use co2 gas with them. His other instructions were that you must sufficiently heat the plastic to the point you almost burn through it for it to work. If you can get it to work I want to see the video's and then see how long it lasts.

If you went with some red led floods visible to the side and rear you would be in better standing than white and I think it would have your desired effect.

Went to Wally World last night to buy a cassette tape and none, not even a spot on the shelves. I did find some VHS tapes, asked about them and the kid didn't even know what I was talking about. He was kind enough to check and they laughed and told me they could special order some. I needed it for a meeting in the am and ended up buying a digital recorder. My wife told me that she did see some cassette music tapes in a truck stop. Now it makes me want to buy some just to have. I love the stratoliner fairing and the fact it comes with a gps, maybe, just maybe they will change to the Strat format . . .

You also had to clean the dead birds from under them and they shut them down when cleaning (very hazardous). It's as different as a prop and a jet

but take the weight standing vs the weight in a twistie at speed with two up and the amount of weight with the G's added and I agree it's too lite.

I just bought a used set from flea bay and was searching on the how to install and torque for the bolts. Everyone I talked to at MD that had them said they were the best investment and some said they had to cut ties or reroute cables. If you find the thread please copy me on it.

:dancefool::dancefool:Yeah but it is surprising how long a truck will float before it sinks. we have trained our tow drivers to pull them out slowly, just like a swampped boat, or you will be pulling up busted axles. we usually break the windows to help the process. You can't fix stupid and the government protects those people against themselves by passing laws. . .

It really doesn't take that much signal to return to give a reading, more wishful thinking. Can't tell you how many crotch rockets I clocked at a distance and the profile don't get much smaller than that. The really funny thing is that the parent company makes a new radar, next their subsidiary makes a really good radar detector that will detect it. New and improved will always be there to take your cash. Only option is slow down and enjoy life or take the risk and accept the consequences. Sometimes it's fun to beat the man out of a few miles per hour. Just ride safe

While I was at the Police School of Staff and Command, at Northwestern, I had to write a staff study on police traffic radar. It came up when several Indiana Troopers developed some cancers and one of our people, who often rested his gun on his left arm while running it developed skin cancer right where he rested the gun. The end result is that it has strong potential for the end user ( officer ) and virtually none to the public. It looses it's strength very quickly, one half is lost between the antenna and the front of your squad. Just like an xray limited exposure now and then won't hurt you but an xray tech with constant exposure is at an increased risk. It does not always grab the larger vehicle and some of these stories are based on old radar technology. In the old days if I had a bike at 55 driving with a car down the road at 65 , depending on the gun you were using you could move the gun you could see reflected speeds, ie gun would show 65, 65, 55, 65. Adjusting the aiming point slightly would confirm who and what speed, it would also be obvious that this car is gaining. Todays Radar units are better designed and some have features to increase the power (range ) or decrease it, filter out noise and discriminate much better. I agree with my brother LEO Msshearin and our training is to use the gun to validate the speed. If you sit with an officer he / she should be able to give you a close estimate of speed and it is something we did with rookies in training. Tell me the speed and then use the radar, you should be in the habit of testing the radar with a tuning fork before and after each stop and note it on your sheet and any citations. If I wasn't positive I would not stop a violator and I was usually 15 and over on citations, because I hated court. Our Judges would not accept a citation for under 10 over and didn't like them at 10 and be careful if you testify that you can tell the speed a car was going X mph, you may be putting on a live court demonstration if the judge allows it and if you do you better be on your A game ( Happened to me ). In this day and age where our every movement is tracked, if you run a GPS and can access the track, you can use it as a defense in court. I will remind you that if the speed limit is 30 and you are asked by a prosecutor how fast you were going and you admit to driving 32, 35 ... you are guilty of speeding. Drive reasonably and be strait with the LEO's and you will serve yourself well. . .

Video, I wanna see the video of the brick vs Cessna. I remember when I was in the service and they volunteered me to exit a perfictly good aircraft in flight. Through all the training and even over the LZ they drop a bowling ball and a bearing ( not a bearing from a harbor freight it would have needed repacking) from the back. That ole gravity will pull objects at the same speed, if dropped at the same time they will impact at the same time. the only thing that changes that is aerodynamics, the parachute just changes the aerodynamics and makes it a controlled decent, if everything works correctly. On the PD, while in crime scene investigators course, we hit another version of that physics experiment. If you fire a bullet from a gun aimed parallel to the flat level ground and drop a bullet at the same time the gun is fired they will strike the ground at the same time. The fired bullet will travel much farther but it's energy is forward, gravity will pull it down at the same speed ( even though it's turning). Aerodynamics changes the amount of resistance the object has to being pulled at a given speed. The wind tunnel test would be awesome to see at what distance behind the RSV is optimal for pulling a trailer, what effect the taller windshield has . . . if anyone argued that it is unimportant at the speeds we travel then why do car and truck manufacturers spend so much time in wind tunnels improving gas mileage. Why do we notice a wall of wind passing a semi, because it is there. Mythbusters has already done the drafting thing http://green.autoblog.com/2007/10/28/mythbusters-drafting-10-feet-behind-a-big-rig-will-improve-mile/ the question becomes what is the best tongue length behind the bike to place the trailer, cooler . . . If you look at their results it improved as they got closer to the truck until they were very close then it changed to worse. So what is the best distance??? Now somebody out there must have access to a wind tunnel and a video camera, an rsv, a couple trailers where we could play with the entire tongue length and design. It would make an awesome meet and play day. . .

When I worked River Patrol the best place to be was at the boat launch, scenery was awesome and we had some side splitting times watching people. One guy had his trailer strapped on to boat, front and back, and unhooked and was driving his boat attached to the trailer. He complained he could not get the boat to plane. go figure All time best are when they launch, without the drain plug, and go out for the day. You try to tell them and they interrupt and yell at you because they " know what they are doing". I don't argue as they drive off in their boat. . .

progressive springs - where to buy

those round black connectors are where your audio passes through. Use the grease around the connectors but not on the pins as it is non conductive. Use spray contact cleaner to protect those pins. Also look to see if they used dis-similar metals on each end of those connectors. they should be the same material, if one is gold and one is silver you will have galvanic corrosion. Also someone makes a bracket that holds the lights out so they do not need to be removed when splitting the fairing.

And if you are thinking of a jammer, if the officer knows he/she should be seeing a reading and isn't that PC for an inspection. In Illinois, and in most states, that will get you in a big jam, we would call in IDOT for a full vehicle inspection. lights, brakes ... Confiscation of the device, fine and costs, if you can prove you have a valid reason to have it and the FCC licenses to go with it it can be returned, otherwise you are broadcasting on a frequency reserved for public safety without a license and interfering with public safety. I would give passes on honesty , especially with a great story, always lay paper on detectors, Jammers turned into science projects that involved numerous agencies and lots of time, towing, certified inspectors, confiscation and days of paperwork.
