PO doesn't need a warrant to secure the camera but does need a valid reason and needs a warrant to view it's contents. If the activity taking place in the other video was going on when the PO took the device, and the PO clearly documented the activity I don't see this is a problem. Depriving the owner of the use for a short period ( time to get a warrant and access to preserve the contents ) then return the device with its contents should not be a big problem. The video contents still belongs to the person who recorded it. The argument comes in court if it was legally obtained and if it can be used against those depicted in the video. The courts have ruled that what took place in a public place, no expectation of privacy, may get into the record but what took place in someone's home probably will not. My two cents, I don't have a problem with this. I do have a problem if they stop a rider who is just recording their reasonably legal bike ride and just take it. We complained when they stuck video in our squads but it got me out of more problems than it ever put me in and now I see a lot of business that put dvr's and front and rear cameras on their vehicles to use in court, if they ever have an accident. Welcome to technology, the debate will go on as it moves forward. . .

I'm gonna say that gas will not "boil" at 100 degrees, I have seen it written that it will boil between 100-400 degres F. It is the point where it begins to turns to vapor maybe is about 100+, but it gets over 100 here sometimes and I have never seen gas boil, When I was in 29 Psalms it was well over 100 and the gas did not boil, everyone has had gas on their 98.6 degree hands and I am gonna guess it didn't boil... When he said he hit it with a heat gun I am guessing he hit it with a non contact temperature reader ( it measures heat ) at least that's what I'm hoping he did. I am going to agree that as complex as carbs are they are also a very simple system that requires them to be clean to work. I would first check the pressure of the gas coming from the pump and measure that. The pressure is just a few pounds, as a test try bypassing the pump and run on gravity from the petcock , see if it still leaks. If it stops leaking it's a pump issue ( won't run great this way but it will run) . If it still leaks it's the floats, they are the valve the turns the gas off when full.

peanut butter is an awesome sticky stuff remover and works with gum also

Pex is awesome stuff, usually comes in white, blue or red ( Hot cold and supply) will freeze and expand and not break. The fittings is where you need the tool and if you only have a few I would run it and rent the tool. You check the fitting with a gauge and if it's all good you are golden. I have helped a plumber and we have also have pulled a lot of pipe from above when you have a crawl or it's finished below. If you are in a termite area or it's not vented you run the risk of termites and mold. Fix it now and save a lot more down the road.

Anyone NOT like their risers??
dacheedah replied to a topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Sleepy you will need longer bolts, if you have them u r all set, if not stop by ace and they will have some. Put a blanket over your tank, remove the buttons, bolts. Put the risers in, covers back on (note the top), tighten the top bolt. torque 10-20 ft lbs. You may need to reroute some cables, check the cables by turning full right and left. If it binds right you will have to reroute or get longer cables. -
I used a hair dryer and goo gone on a clean old T shirt, I immediately washed it and waxed it after the goo gone. You are trying to get it warm and not getting the tank any hotter than if you parked in the sun here yesterday and parking in the sun on a hot day would probably work just fine also. A hair dryer will dry hair and heat up glue, a heat gun will bubble paint. Now I did not suggest doing this with the gas cap removed, checking your gas level with a lighter or match, suggest you cover or unplug the gas vent or doing anything stupid. If you decide to do something stupid, for the sake of the forum, please video and post the results as some of us are visual learners.:rotf:

Roundup won't get the tree, you need a product called brushmaster ( woodie growth), I would suggest that you upon some boards and girdle it , then cut above. If it is invasive, it will have it try to grow again from the rootstock. Smaller is easier to kill. Try to identity the species. Diesel fuel saturating the root may also help make it no longer.

Take off the combiner off and run the CB to the stock cb antenna and the radio to an am fm antenna and you will be glad you did.
-
Actually had that happen on my first gen, I used a piece of aluminum to hook up under the trunk, drilled it for the antenna and went with that and never had another problem.. i think the piece I used was almost a 1/4" thick x 1 1/4 wide scrap I had at the time.
