She has a neck collar on for the next three months, I asked the Dr where her cone was and neither she nor the Dr thought I was hilarious. I told them I thought it was to keep her from scratching her ear with her hind leg. At the point where the Dr explained to me why the collar I understood that she did not get my humor. I did probably look puzzled that she took my sarcasm seriously. Now I forgot about the pink T until you reminded me. . .

So I think we need another category for topless , those that have a four wheel trike . . .

Ok Life changes, first knee surgery, then my father passed away and I have my 87 year old mother with memory care issues living with us, then the wife had another neck fusion since the first one did not take and she had broken hardware in her neck. The road to recovery is not short and this was her fourth neck surgery and she has had as many back surgeries. I was considering triking the bike but a convertible fits our current prescription. We have been kickin the idea for over a year when I found a 2003 T bird with just over 20,000 miles so we traded the bike. I did pull some things off of her like Mic Mutes, HID, back cup holder, harley mufflers . . . So for now the wife is basically grounded but on those few times when we can get out I can drop the top and go. I am holding out that in the future Chris will be at a place where we can return to two wheels and two up, Not goin away but I have not been very active either.

Prayers appreciated! Long road, they went in the back and added new hardware and some synthetic and cadaver bone, she is in a neck collar for 3 months and can not lift more than a cup of coffee , the broken hardware was left in the front but the fusion in front never took. now lite OT and weekly nurse visits. For those that have not been to Northwestern, it is actually several hospitals with different specialties connected by a walk bridge. While we were at Northwestern and anyone in this circumstance can not help but feel sorry about our situation. I would walk to the womans hospital to get food that fit in my low carb lifestyle. That took me through the Childrens Hospital corridor, seeing some little people with much bigger life struggles than ours put a whole new perspective on our situation. Ride safe!!!

My year has been spent dealing with my fathers death and the new addition of Mom at our house, Mom has memory care issues. In addition my wife's neck pain and left arm going numb. After a lot of insurance , change of work insurance by employer and starting all over and office visits, they found that Chris's last neck fusion did not take and she had broken hardware in her neck. We were sent to see a specialist at Northwestern in Chicago who said the only option was to go in through the back of the neck this time, she has had 3 previous procedures from the front and lots of scar tissue. Old hardware will stay but new hardware an some synthetic bone was added from the back. No doubt will not be putting many miles on the bike this summer and I have not been active with much outside of Chris's recovery. Sittin on the sidelines

I have gerd but when I go on a low carb diet mine seems to disappear completely. My sister keeps telling me I have gluten sensitivity. When I drink most beers it gives me a headache, if I stick to whiskey I am good. Keep a journal of what you eat and watch for results anywhere from 20 minutes to the next day. A guy at work was having a ton of issues, lots of testing and they found he was allergic to I think yellow die #7 and he drank copious amounts of Mountain Dew. My sister will not eat processed foods, everything from scratch and she keeps saying that we are a people of convenience but doing it old school doesnt take that long. Good luck with it
