  1. Ya, if you can't control a few PSI, go spend some money
  2. That's debatable. It can be safely done if you regulate the air pressure down. I'm not gonna buy a hand pump for $40 if I don't need to. And I never change while on a ride, so no need for a pump.
  3. That question just means you don't know why people do it.
  4. Only difference I noticed was more ground clearance in corners.
  5. I'm torn trying to decide. My friend just did it to a Honda ACE Tour 1100. Does handle differently. The RS bikes are some-what squirrely when driven hard in corners already. The car tire would not help in that respect. Wish the rear wheel was a 16", more tire choices.
  6. Looks? If the gears were swapped out, you can't see a difference. Did you verify with PO?
  7. The VMAX one will have the stud shown in top of pic or a hole where it would be. Unless the gears were swapped out. Then visually no way to tell.
  8. You might have a VMAX shaft drive in it also. Lower geared. A popular mod.

    Brake lock up

    NEVER
  10. No to ( I believe out = leaner) Yes to (out = richer) Turns to just what you need. No more than 4 turns though, then you need the next size bigger pilots.
  11. Only worth it if you're looking for weight reduction (why on these bikes) or it would last 2-3 times longer. I'd never get one.
  12. When you set it down low, it goes in slow. Plenty of time to check it. Just like your tires. Do you leave the air chuck on your tires for 5 minutes at a time?...........NO! Not a problem, if it is, go buy yourself a $40 pump.
  13. Seeing as I never adjust the pressure while I'm out riding, I just lower the pressure on my compressor regulator to a couple pounds over what I want to put in and pump them up.
  14. So your friend behind you, sees what happening in front of him, does nothing (slow down or?) and just breezes through curve 'same speed' with no problems.
  15. If its a gen 2, those are the carb bowl vent lines. They just sit there, supposedly a dead air space.
  16. I sent mine back for a refund. Couldn't get it to work and they agreed it doesn't on some engines. Others here had similar issues.
  17. Without the rear links I was always hitting the floorboards and then crash bars. Hardly ever now with the links. Lowering the fork tubes would make it worse for clearance. Luckly I'm 6'3".
  18. Just an FYI. Installing the links (raising the rear 1") raises your motor oil window by a 1/4. If you keep it at 3/4, now it will be at the top.
  19. I have about 10K on a rear E3 and have had the rear slip on me in corners. Very unnerving.
  20. Sad to hear this. I'm a little worried as my daughter (27) takes her MSC this weekend. Wondering what she should get first. A 250 is out-grown pretty fast. A CB750 may be too big for a first bike, for her anyway.........what to do?
  21. If your at 3.5 to 4 turns, you're near the max for that size pilot. I have the next size up and am @ 2 to 2.5 turns. Although I increased the opening to the air-box slightly. It has very good response now off idle.
  22. That's where I'd start. At least check them. $35 to replace.
  23. Rumor was it came from a cow that gave really sweet milk!?
  24. Sugar tit, SC!!!
