I don't mind working on bikes and am sure it would need some TLC.
Just never spent any time in a 1st gen to compare to.
Your comment on handling surprised me though.
Tap for a 1/4-20 bolt on the lever, just above the lower tube beneath it.
Insert bolt, adjust travel of lever and walla! Lower it as slowly as you want!
A motorcycle lift has built in stops so as not to rely on hydraulics.
Clearly he had it on the jack precariously, that's why it fell.
Just be careful and watch how it is on the lift. I check multiple times before I jack it up.
My cruise works just like a car does. Bump up or down 1 MPH. Perfect.
If there is a delay, check the cable at the vacuum pump under the left lower fairing.
If it's loose it will work but slow as it has to take up the slack.
The Goldwing type has a different curvature but might be modified to fit. I haven't got mine to look right so I just put two round pop-outs they use in small aircraft. They make minimal difference. I just made a smaller windshield I swap out during summer months.
Ha, that cost money and these RSTD don't move very fast unless you give them away.
Ya, there are plenty of other bikes I'd like to have. Just haven't won the lottery yet!
I just switch up between my ZRX1100 and this one. It'll get me by till I can do something.
You can lower it all you want, it's still a heavy beast.
Even I'm getting tired of all the weight.
I go week to week hating it, liking it, hating it, liking it. Done all kinda mods to try and make it better, but it's still HEAVY!
They like air boxes too. Both RS I've had , had nibble marks on the filters. If you use bounce in them, don't forget to take them out!!
'Pledge' works good too for cleaning things..........
3. They were in a caution and had all slowed down and these cars turn like any other car at that speed.
4. I doubt Tony didn't know he had taken someone out, how in the heck you wouldn't watch out as you came around to see who it was??? They were in a caution!!!
The Venture is different but they look very plain. Want to do something more aerodynamic.
Most cruiser fairings or windshields are more perpendicular to the wind and you get a lot of turbulence. Sportbike fairings are more parallel to the wing and you get very smooth wind across them. (think laminar flow)
I have plenty of ideas, just haven't nailed down anything yet.
