  1. Had a Honda Sabre 1100 for 2.5 yrs. Great bike, but they feel way too small now. I'll never go back. I don't mind jumping on my ZRX1100 though. Now that's some fun!
  2. I went for a Victory demo day a couple of years ago. Fairly well organized, laid-back. Rode all the models. Overall a decent experience. Wasn't looking to buy, just wanted to try them out. I'd buy a Vic over a Harley any day.

    Finally!

Well I just put on a BF Goodrich Radial TA on this weekendand must say I'm pleasantly surprised! Smoother ride, very controlled, even in all the cornering I threw at it. My only complaint came on the install. 115 lbs to seal the beads! And that was with a lot of lube, setting in the sun. That alone, I'll not recommend that particular tire. Hell of a job just to get it on. I wouldn't dare try putting it on with spoons. I was getting bummed it wasn't seating, but after it set awhile with that pressure in, finally pop, pop. Almost 13K miles on the E3 I took off (it was DONE) with Ride-On in it. Ride-On was ONLY in the bottom of the tire, 2.5" to 3" wide area. No where else. Couple more things, seeing as the tire is a little smaller tire diameter, I'd recommend having the 1" leveling links put on as I have. Stock links it would feel like it's setting on the ground! Also, my speed reads way higher than actual now too. Going to check it with GPS soon. May end up putting stock shaft drive back in instead of the VMAX one. Lots of pick-up and go though!
  4. Wow, bet you're glad you did drain it!
  5. Then why when someone has problems, you always hear, "change the fuel filter" if it doesn't fix anything? I'm not saying it's doesn't, just sayin, in the dozen or so I've changed in a variety of things, never seen a bad one.
  6. I have NEVER had a new fuel filter fix anything. Cars or otherwise. Just my 2¢.
  7. If you're going to do that, don't open petcock and turn it over with WOT for just a bit.
  8. When carbs are close to the bottom of the tank, even gravity can't get fuel to the carbs. So they add a fuel pump. Heat shouldn't be a problem cause the gas tank is vented. Only a problem when vent gets blocked.
  9. I don't know if that's necessary. Your causing the pump to go dry a hell of a lot more often than normal and having the carb bowl's full isn't going to hurt anything. Just don't want them overflowing when it sits.
  10. If you don't want to have an issue with gas in your oil, get into the habit of turning the petcock off when you turn off the engine. Only takes a second.
  11. Mine has magnets on it. Just pop it on and lift!
  12. I wouldn't. Nice bike but design getting old. Having any bike for a couple of seasons, I'm looking for a change. I'd go for something like the Yam Super Tenere(?) or new Kaw Versys 1000. Lighter, faster, better handling, LIGHTER!
  13. For people that live in Alaska, it's brutal up there!
  14. Second that, along with an additive for the ethanol and you've turned off the petcock. And don't start it up every two weeks! Absolutely NO reason for doing that.
  15. Welllllll, it's almost 2015 and these bikes are 90's technology. I'm liking the new Kaw Versys 1000. Reminds me of my ZRX1100, at least the way I have it set-up.
  16. Stratoliner is 18". Why bigger? If you want a cool looking bike, you need to get something else.
  17. Nothing wrong with that!!
  18. That's what we did! I took her to Hawaii on our 25th. So on our 30th I'm going back.....................to pick her up! Baaawwww:rotf:
  19. I can think of a reason, THEY WANTED IT HERE! What a great distraction to all the other crap going on!!!
  20. That's what I like about mine, no fluid, nothing to get sucked in and so durable I could throw it on the concrete all day long and it wouldn't hurt it.
  21. I'd put my $35 plastic hose balancer against any on the market cause how accurate do you really need to be. (and I've checked it against $200 gages) How many of you have put a fuel ratio analyzer on their bikes. Almost no one. These bikes are so smooth vs a Vtwin, is that an issue you need to get it down to a knat's hair? Ya, I should have kept my mouth shut.
  22. I have a VMAX rear in it now. Do you suggest putting in the stock one back in. Is the CT that much smaller in diameter?
  23. Thing about a caliper lock, sometimes people forget to take them off. I put a 'docking station' with a switch on it so when I turned on the key and the lock was on the caliper, an alarm would sound telling me to take it off. Or you could just put one of those annoying 5 ft long florescent ribbons on it.
  24. Well that don't sound right
