Now Honey Bee, you know that what happens in Blairsville, does not stay in Blairsville!:stirthepot: Opps, did I just say that?!!! Don't worry, your secret is safe with us and Riderduke and Eck and Sling and well, Jacque doesn't know the rule yet!

Alabama biker down..
Sleeperhawks Mechanic replied to Sleeperhawks Mechanic's topic in Watering Hole
Thank you so much for the prayers. You made me think to ask Jacque if they have taken pictures of the accident scene. George and I will be in Huntsville Saturday afternoon so we can run by there and take pictures, just in case. The accident happened on Browns Ferry Road (but which intersection I am not sure). Thank you for the reminder! And we hope to meet you one day! Be safe, Bobbie -
Alabama biker down..

Thank you everyone so much for your thoughts and prayers. It means the world to us and Jacque and Ben send their thank you to all you as well. I just talked to Jacque - his CT scans, chest x-ray and MRI came back okay but he is still confused as to certain details so he is still in the hospital. They had talked about releasing him today but considering the short term memory, Jacque is going to encourage his longer stay in the hospital. He does not remember how the accident occurred. From Ben's observation of the accident scene, he saw the tire marks and the gouge of where the bike went. Apparently, he slid for quite some distance without the bike. I will let you know of any further developments. Prayers are so appreciated. -
Such wonderful news Shannon! Thank you for the update. Prayers are continuing being sent. I believe in the power of prayer!

Yesterday evening, Jacque's father (my ex) had a motorcycle accident near Athens, Alabama. He has a concussion, short term memory loss, two broken ribs, and a lot of deep gashes. He was transported from Athens hospital to Huntsville Hospital to get am MRI and be examined by a neurologist. He could not remember what happened nor any personal information. Jacque said he thought he rode his bike to the emergency room. According to witnesses of a road crew picking up trash on a two lane road, he passed a van and then laid down the bike. Not sure why this happened, if he hit some gravel or something else. He was wearing a helmet, jacket and gloves. My son Ben, was going to the scene to try to find his cell phone and was going to look and see if he could notice anything about the causation. Thank you Painterman, for the telephone call. It just shows how our VR family is. We were planning on going to Alabama this weekend as Brock has a football game so we can check on Vic's condition then. Please keep him in your prayers, as well as Ben and Jacque. Please ride safe, Bobbie

What a beautiful ride we had this weekend! Met up with Riderduke and TC Friday night in Ashville. On Saturday early morning, Eck joined us after working his Friday shift and riding all night from Charleston. We rode the Blue Ridge Mountains, ate at Pisgah Inn with a gorgeous view of the mountains, (loved all the tunnels), rode through Cherokee, had to stop at DQ. We also saw five hot air balloons in air along the ride. Off through Robinsonville on Highway 74 with a ton of bikes and then onto the Cherohala Skyway. Ran into a little rain along the way but dried out soon! From there we went through Blairsville and then into Elliajay for dinner at Colonel Pooles. After dinner, we took off for Stone Mountain. We checked into the hotel at 9:45 p.m.! Eck was ready for a rest as we were as well! Saturday morning we had breakfast at the Metro Cafe in Snellville and then off to Blackjack's to meet up with Terry and Janis, Muffinman and Margaret. Sling and Peggy arrived not too long after. Konnie, Eck's wife met us at Provinos. Then Gray Ghost and his wife and another couple arrived to join us for lunch. It was a great place to eat! We left with Eck and Konnie, Rick and Peggy. We got home last night around 7:45 and just taking it easy today! Hey Peter, it was great meeting you and enjoyed the visit! Jacque was concerned if you got home okay because she had heard there were tornadoes in the Pennsylvania area. Hope you can make more of the meet and eats! Ride safe! Bobbie -
When I first met you all those years ago, I fell in love so fast, I knew right then, You were the one and only one for me; I'd never have to look for love again. You just can't beat good old southern fried catfish toes for an appetizer, followed by a gar soup tart with seaweed wound crackers spread with cavaier. Dead puff fish bowls are filled to the brim with a slightly salty brim dressing diluted for the faint hearted. Free refills for all customers!!! On the house! The captivating dessert feature is crawdad pie topped with foamy squid fingers.

Prayers for a speedy recovery. Thank you for the updates.

With the potential threat of Hurricane Irene hitting the coast this weekend, should anyone need to evacuate, our doors are open for you. In South Carolina, we are located basically in the center of the state, around 120 miles from the coast, so you would be on safe ground. Just let us know if we can help, my cell phone is on my profile, give us a call. Bobbie and George
