    We are both so shocked and in disbelief at this news. The last time we saw Mark was at Ashville. We had no idea anything was wrong. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mary and his family over this tragic loss. Simply at a loss for words....

    Don't find many heroes like this one!!!! On January 9th, a group of Pekin, Illinois bikers were riding west on I-74 when they saw a girl about to jump off the Murray Baker Bridge . So they stopped. David, their leader, a big burly man of 50, gets off his Harley, walks through a group of gawkers, past the State Trooper, and says, "What are you doing?" She says, "I'm going to commit suicide." While he didn't want to appear "sensitive," he didn't want to miss a be-a-legend opportunity either so he asked ... "Well, before you jump, why don't you give me a kiss?" So, with no hesitation at all, she leaned back over the railing and did just that ... and it was a long, deep, lingering kiss followed immediately by another one. After they finished, David gets approval from his biker-buddies, the onlookers, and even the State Trooper, and says, "Wow! That was the best kiss I have ever had Honey! That's a real talent you're wasting Sugar Shorts. You could be famous if you rode with me. Why are you committing suicide?" "My parents don't like me dressing up like a girl." It's still unclear whether she jumped or was pushed. :cool10:

    Thank you everyone for the warm wishes! I love this journey of being together for the rest of our lives and I am looking forward to every minute of it! And I truly believe that George will not leave me at the gas station again! :cool10:

    Thank you everyone, for the wonderful wishes! Sleeperhawk is an amazing person as you all know and I truly am blessed to be part of his life! His thoughtfulness and sense of humor is incredible! George totally surprised me with some gifts reminiscent of one of our conversations ten years ago!! :cool10: And yes, he gave me duct tape! And we are both blessed to have all of you as friends!

    It turned out to be a great rally and we appreciate the work of our hosts! Honeybee does know how to entertain everyone and Mark, I still want your Marguerites' recipe! They are especially good in the rain!

    I love the nickname for Jane! Both Jerry and Jane - Boo Hoo - are a great couple and we really enjoyed our time with them on the ride Saturday. We were riding with Riderduke and TC on the way to Mount Mitchell and passed them. They joined up with us and went to the mountain with us and rode with us the rest of the way! Really miss the mountains, had a great time with our Family!

    Thank you for the update. Prayers sent for her speedy improvement. So sorry you had to leave soon, especially under those circumstances. Keep us posted. I appreciate the camera tips by the way. I will look into getting those filters and experiment with pictures!
