    I am breathless after reading this! Thank you so much for all the info. There is so much to see and do that I know we will be planning another trip like this! By the way, I have family in Plainview and Kress area. Vic Martin was my uncle if by any chance you know them. Uncle Vic passed away several years ago and my aunt remarried, Adeline Barnes, married to Gary Barnes, and my cousin "Tex" should still be living in the area! By the way, saddle up and come join us!     Sounds like you had a trip that we would love as well. Will defintely keep that route in mind for our next big trip out west! George's brother lives in Oracle outside of Tucson and he is going to be celebrating his 50th birthday on October 4th, so we decided to incorporate a sightseeing trip as well. We will be checking out the New Mexican food for sure, we will be going to Carlsbad Caverns as well! Ride safe, Bobbie

    I would love to see Yellowstone, but like you say, it will depend on the weather if we can get up that far north I am planning to pack cold weather gear as well as clothes for the warm weather still around that time of year! As a matter of fact, we went to the local leather shop yesterday and bought a warm hoodie for me! I will post pictures when we get back!

    Thanks, Margaret!!! I am so looking forward to this trip - I love that part of the country. George is taking his laptop, so I will be able to download my memory cards directly onto his computer and free up my memory cards. Otherwise, I would need a trailer for just those! Since we will have the loptop, we will be able to post now and then! Thank you for your concern!

    Sleeperhawk and I will be westward bound to Arizona on September 27!!!:cool10: I just cannot wait for this trip since we missed out on Fort Collins last year. Two weeks have been allocated for this trip! We should reach Texas Saturday the 27th and leave out on the 30th to Carlsbad, New Mexico and then to the Tucson area. We will be heading out of Tucson on October 5. We plan to go to Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon! I asked Sleeperhawk if we could possibly cross over into California and let me put my feet down on the state so I can color in that map too. He said YES! (So I will have quite a few states to color in by the time we get back to South Carolina!) From there, the plan is to travel upwards towards Colorado and the lower part of Wyoming (have never been to Wyoming) and then swing down through Nebraska, Kansas, and towards home. Since I am not familiar with a lot of the sights to be seen along those routes, I am asking our dear members to let me know what we should try to see. I know I will be taking a lot of pictures along the way and should break my record! Any advice would be sooooo greatly appreicated! Ride safe, Bobbie

    Gary, believe it or not, we tried! As a matter of fact, there was a tattoo shop right next to our restaurant in Cherokee! Tim just wasn't quite that ready!
