    Thank you all for the warm wishes! We went for an early morning bike ride through the countryside and then off to Texas Roadhouse! Our tradition has always been to go to the movies on our anniversary so we went to see Death Race. It was a pretty good movie and I would not mind having a race car with armor plates with machine guns mounted on the top, front and back! :dancefool:I think I could convince careless drivers to be more attentive!     Your post touches my heart deeply. You and your son are in our thoughts and prayers. There are only two of us getting tattooed for this particular fundraiser, but I see a potential for future fundraisers with volunteers such as yourself!     We will be getting into Joshua, Texas on the 27th visiting our daughter and granddaughter and leaving there on Tuesday the 30th to Lowake Inn for lunch and then from there to Carlsbad, New Mexico. I guess we might see each other on the highways this trip!

    The yellow rose is my favorite color for roses. But I am still not revealing what my tattoo will be! Ohh, I am so envious you went through there! There used to be Indian paintings on the rock nearby in Paint Rock but I don't know if they have been preserved after all these years. But..... Sleeperhawk and I will be at Lowake Inn on Tuesday, September 30 and then ride over to Eola for a quick look at my old high school/brewery! Did you get to go by Eola by any chance while you were in the area? I know that time you and Roadhand had to get back home.

    Randy, it is a good thing that you weren't a second quicker and everything turned out okay. It is unbelieveable that people don't pay attention. Whenever I get delayed for some reason or the other when I am on my way, and I start to feel frustrated, I stop and think that perhaps I have avoided a tradegy. Soooo, seconds do count, one way or the other! Glad you are safe!

    If it means raising a CONSIDERABLE amount of money for St. Judes, and I do mean CONSIDERABLE, then how could I not do it? And yes, this would be my first AND ONLY tattoo! My children will have a blast on this because they know how I am about tattoos. I can only hope they won't disown me!

    Thanks for the info. The scarcity of gas stations was one of our biggest concerns, but Sleeperhawk is going to get a rack also for an ice chest for water and cold drinks (I put a camel to shame when it comes to drinking water)! Ride safe, Bobbie

    Larry, thank you so much for the invitation! Homemade tortillas and chili sound soooo good. I am not sure though that we will be traveling northward at that point, but if we should, we will give you a call in advance. By the way, George's parents were asking us about any open to the public hot springs in New Mexico for that time of year. Do you know of any? If so, please let me know!     Tim, I am speechless. I am deeply humbled by your generous offer of the transfer of the gift. Never in my life have I even contemplated a tattoo! (Thanks Riderduke!) I have to ponder this very seriously before making my final decision. Also I would need to know that indeed St. Judes would benefit TREMENDOUSLY from this tattoo on me! But should I allow to be tattoed, I would indeed select the tattoo and location of it. And speaking of my decision for the location, well, we shall see! Soooo, folks, it is in your hands now!
