  1. Thank you, Jim!!!! I see that you are not too far from San Angelo. We will be going to Lowake Inn on Tuesday, September 30 for lunch. We would love to have you join us! My brother Mike whom you met the last time we were there is going to be there along with about four other people! We will make this into a mini-Texas size meet and eat!!! I am so ready to get Texas-style rejuvenated! My cell is 256-874-3616 so let us know if you can make it! Ride safe, Bobbie
  2. This is an interesting graph indicating the cost of gas over the U.S.! Zoom out and also move your cursor over to see the price ranges over the whole country! It looks like Sleeperhawk and I will be getting gas a little bit cheaper on our big trip next week! http://www.wistv.com/Global/category.asp?C=92317
  3. I really don't mean to hog all the space! but I just can't help taking pictures!
  4. I agree! It can be done! As much as I don't want a tattoo, I am still very willing to get one for this cause if we can meet the $3K goal! Ride safe, Bobbie
  5. Ah Jeff, that is so wonderful of you!!! I keep waiting for the $3K though! I haven't given up hope yet!
  6. Sleeperhawk did get a back rest and put it on the 05 bike, tried it out and didn't like it so he sent it back. Since he put the flanger(?) bars on the bike which he really likes, by the way, he prefers to lean back into me when he needs a break! So I guess I am the cheap backrest when he needs it and I don't mind it a bit!!!
  7. I believe the more Brenda rides, the more she will become familiar with the various ways to sit, including with a pillow beneath her and behind her back too. I found a small rectangular pillow that I can bend in half and put behind Sleeperhawk's back (he doesn't have a backrest) and that helps his back out. I can sit on it and also put it behind my back! Brenda can also stretch out her legs and put them on your legs. Sleeperhawk will pick up my legs and put them on top of his and that helps stretching out as well! She just will need to watch traffic carefully in anticipation of you having to use brakes or the clutch so she can put them back down. We are heading to Arizona two weeks from Friday on the bike for a two week vacation, going up into Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas and back to South Carolina. Sleeperhawk informed me that the round trip will be around 6,000 miles so we shall see how adapted my butt has become! We put 60,000 miles on the 05 before we traded Pony Number One for Pony Number Two! Tell Brenda she is doing great! Ride safe, Bobbie
  8. You are always YOUNG enough to be a grandpa! Congratulations and best wishes to the happy couple!
  9. Wayne, just be gentle!
  10. That is funny!!!! But hey, take advantage of the rain, right?!
  11. I wonder if Cindy developed an infection from the cut on her foot. Hope she recovers quickly and can go home soon. You all are in our throughts and prayers.
  12. Hope you guys aren't getting too wet! This is what our sky looked like yesterday morning! And today promises to be a beautiful day! Be safe, Bobbie
  13. Haven't heard from them, so really don't know anything. We are getting a few sprinkles here right now, but we really need the rain, so we will take what we can get! Stay safe! Bobbie
  14. Yes, Wendy, you guys come on up! We will keep you safe and sound!
  15. You are so funny! You know you are welcome here anytime!
  16. A great reason to have a cherry pie, Gene, if you come see us! Unfortunately, the Dungeon is off limits to everyone except Sleeperhawk, So I guess you will just have to make do with the upstairs!
  17. If you need a place to stay, our home is open to you. We have plenty of room, just bring a sleeping bag. Give me a call on my cell 256-874-3616. I can see a Hurricane Party brewing up here too! Be safe, Bobbie and George
  18. If you need a place to stay, you are more than welcome to come on up to Columbia. We have room. Give me a call on my cell - 256-874-3616. Be safe, Bobbie
  19. Beer30 can always find the best in any condition, espcially the very worst ones! As long as he has a cold beer or two or three (cases that is), he is set to go! By the way, Gene, have you figured out yet how to put a floatie on the bike and Beer Cart to make it into a jet ski when needed? You guys hang in there - let us know when you can how it goes!
  20. I trust Brad completely in handling the donations for this event or for any event there ever may need be for the entrustment of funds. After all, he is the one who will let us know when we reach the magic $3,000 mark! :cool10: Then and ONLY then, will the tattoos begin!
  21. Yes I did! Wouldn't know what to do if I could not have my camera!
  22. You know it is always my pleasure to capture everyone when they are having such a great time! It was great seeing Janis again and hope to see her again more when she doesn't have to work! It was also a delight to meet Kimberly, Craig's (Leo) wife. We hope to see her more on her bike in the future too!
  23. So good to hear that! It must be brutal watching the weather reports, not knowing what is going to happen. Now, we are anticipating Hurricane Hanna, and who knows where she will end up. Hopefully, it will only be a good rain for all who need it. Be aware all!
  24. This is so tragic and so very, very sad. Ever so more the need for a successful donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital for continued, stringent research to battle the cancer of all, especially the helpless little ones. Our most heartful sympathy and prayers go to the family of this child. May God give them comfort in this very painful time. Bobbie and George
  25. It is so tragic to hear about one of our family going down. It is such a blessing that police were close by and could respond so quickly with the paramedics. That is what is making the difference here, along with his protective clothing. Bob and his family are in our thoughts and prayers. Bobbie and George
