  1. It was good to see you guys again and have the chance to hang out with Julie and your sweet daughter! Looking forward to the next time! If you and Redbeard are still together, that is....
  2. That would be really great to meet you! I have family in Houston, just do not seem to be able to get to Texas too often! You guys are always welcome to come out to South Carolina; our door is always open!

  5. Now it seems that Eck is after Redbeard when Pick's romance did not work out.... But after it is all done and said, Eck and Connie kiss and makeup!!!:clap2: But.... stayed tuned for events at the next Meet and Eat!!!
  6. It seems that Pick is cheating on Redbeard with Eck!!!!:no-no-no: It has been only two weeks or so since Pick and Redbeard exchanged vows at LaQuinta!!!! And Sleeperhawk is trying to nip this budding romance quickly! Connie (Eck's wife) is being consoled by me.... And Julie is texting her lawyer!!!!!!:confused07: What are these Meet and Eats coming to?!!!:stirthepot:
  7. Nahhh! Not too much!
  8. It was great meeting new members; ScaryLarry is not all that scary by the way and Boomer kept him straight!! And seeing old friends! Thank you, Eck, for getting this together for us! The rain did not dampen the spirits of the riders and Greenbriar Restaurant outdid itself! What a great way to spend Saturday lunch! Mark caught lunch for us! Even Jacque and Brock were able to join us and Brock got to spend some time with Konnie!
  9. :rotf::rotf:
  10. Once LetHimRide gets his "bearings" on how to post this supposed Vogel Bear picture, the "unbearable" suspense will be over and I can give him a great "bearhug" when I see him and then perhaps others will not be so bearish about this thread! :whistling:
  11. I can bearly wait to see the picture now!
  12. :rotf:
  13. Noooo, that bear is alive and well - just ask Screamstone (Rob) - he had the same reaction to it Saturday morning!!!!:rotf:
  14. Bear? Am I missing a bear upstairs?
  15. I take it you would like any kind, huh?!!!!
  16. Anytime Venture Riders show up here!:rotf:
  17. Welcome to the VR Family!!! You have just become part of a wonderful world-wide family of bike lovers! Even though we live in Columbia, South Carolina, we travel on a regular basis to Athens-Huntsville, Alabama to see the kids and grandson. We try to get together with Eck and others there for either a breakfast or lunch meet and eat. As a matter of fact, we will be there Labor Day weekend and I believe a lunch on Saturday is in the workings. We would love to have you ride down and get to meet you and you to be able to meet everyone there! You live in a beautiful part of Tennessee (but then, what isn't beautiful about the whole state of Tennessee?!!!) Have fun riding! Once again, welcome to this site! Ride safe, Bobbie
  18. Oh, sorry about that!!! It WAS a cherry pie, and it didn't last too long! Let me know what kind of pie you like and what time you will be here and we'll have another maintenance day!!!
  19. It was a fun day starting with Wanderer showing up here at 7:30 a.m.! After a maintenance shopping list was assembled, off to Auto Zone we went! Dave38X got to our house while we were gone and was patiently waiting for us! After the guys finished up working on Sceamstorm's bike most of the morning, I was able to convince the guys to have a piece of pie before we headed out to Hilton Head Island. It was a beautiful ride, especially when we got off the interstate on the two lane road with trees draped with moss. After a great lunch at Jim N' Nix's, I shared a piece of chocolate cream pie with Screamstorm. Sleeperhawk got his favorite coconut cream and Wanderer was the smart one in not getting any pie! We said our goodbyes to Screamstorm as he was on his way to Savannah and headed back home. Another lovely ride in the late afternoon. Upon arrival at the house, the guys had another little maintenance session where Sleeperhawk helped Wanderer put in a brighter headlight bulb. It was a great time spent by all and it was great meeting Screamstorm and spending time with him and welcoming him into the Venture Rider family!
  20. We are back home after a delicious dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Magnawake and Laura joined us and Wanderer rode over with us. What a nice welcoming party! The guys are playing in the garage right now, getting ready to drain the oil, ect. I am just waiting on them to cut the pie! Here are some pictures! It is a beautiful bike! Tomorrow morning will finish up the maintenance on the bike and we will be off to ride with Rob on the way to Savannah, Georgia with a stop at Hilton Head for lunch at Jim n' Nicks! Hopefully the weather will be nice so I can take pictures of the bike in action!
  21. Rob is here at the house with a beautiful bike and trailer! Ted met George at Thunder Tower and brought him in. We are getting ready to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and I have a cherry pie waiting for dessert. Pictures will be posted later. Dinner calls!
  22. That's what happens when you have an impromptu wedding but they WERE both so in love, they didn't notice at all. They only had eyes for each other!
  23. The wind was a little strong and the rain was hard. We stopped in a church parking lot to put the suits on, but there wasn't an awning to get under to wait it out so we decided to brave the storm! That was all the time I had to take pictures. We all got our rainsuits on in record time!!! The bikes sure look clean, don't they?!!!
  24. After getting back to the LaQuinta Inn in Shreveport, Pick and Redbeard went for a swim. On the way back into the hotel, we noticed the gazebo decorated for a wedding. Well, after Pick had proposed to Redbeard earlier at Wild Hair's shindig, it seemed only natural to go ahead and have a ceremony there! Sleeperhawk officiated the ceremony with Pick's Bible. I was the only witness to this tearful ceremony between two friends. The wedding brought tears to my eyes! The couple are now residing in the great state of Georgia! Armagedon!
  25. On the way to Birmingham Thursday afternoon (on our way toTexas), we stopped to put on rainsuits because it looked like we might run into rain. Well, by the time we got the rainsuits on, the storm was just about on top of us! We decided to brave it and continue, it is a good thing we did because the rainstorm lasted 3 hours!
