That's when good common sense and a good sense of direction comes in very handy! Sleeperhawk has both so we are safe! Well, most of the time!!! :stirthepot:

Our Zumo tried to have us turn left on the Blue Ridge Parkway this weekend! Would not have been a pretty sight! Zumo and George are at odds a lot of times! Me, I just follow George!

Sleeperhawk (George) and I (Bobbie) live here and would love to meet you and ride! Send us a PM and we will get together when you get into town! Ride safe, Bobbie

We had passed this road and I told Sleeperhawk I needed to get a picture of this sign for you! So he turned around and I got it! -
What a beautiful day for the little girl and her mom that you stopped there and bring sunshine into their lives. Hugs to you for what you did!

It was great seeing everyone again! What a great turn out! Thank you Eck and Blackjack for setting this up! After leaving Fuddrucker's, Cecdoo, Riderduke and Sleeperhawk and I took off towards Virginia and spent the night at Bristol, VA/TN. After breakfast, Cecdoo and Riderduke headed home and Sleeperhawk set the Zumo for a route home using only country roads! What a beautiful ride we had. Our first stop was at South Holston Dam. Even though it looked like rain was on its way, we were able to ride around it. Absolutely beautiful scenery the whole trip. After getting on Blue Ridge Parkway, we stopped at Mt. Mitchell State Park. Mt. Mitchell is the tallest mountain in Eastern United States at approximately 6,500 feet. What a view from the observation platform! We continued on the country roads and spent the night at Black Mountain. We rode about 200 miles in about 8 hours on Sunday and it was such an enjoyable ride! And I got to take pictures of almost all of it! Back to the normal routine tomorrow but what great memories we have!! See ya'll next time! Ride safe, Bobbie -
I wondered who would pick that picture out!

Lunch at Pawley's Porch
Sleeperhawks Mechanic replied to Sleeperhawks Mechanic's topic in Watering Hole
Took a few more pictures last night and this morning! We rode with David and Laura for a little bit and where we were going to turn off for a ride to the lake, George said Dairy Queen! So we all stopped for a blizzard to top off the M&E officially! http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic%20Pawleys%20Porch%20Day%202/ -

Lunch at Pawley's Porch

Both David and Laura had the pretzel roll and said it was delicious - The description as they put it is "a lot like a soft pretzel but not as chewy and good and held together well". Pawley's is definitely on our favorite list! -
Hamburgers will never ever be the same again!!! :dancefool: Thanks to Etcswjoe and his wife, Bobbi, we learned of a great hamburger place right here in Columbia, just a few blocks from where I work! Pawley's Porch was featured in Diners Drive In's and Dives hosted by Guy Fieri. Joe and Bobbi rode up from Charleston, Painterman and Shadow Queen rode down from North Carolina and Chuck who works with George joined us for the feasting! The fried pickles and calamri appetizers were outstanding and then the burgers arrived! Yum, yum! We are back at the house, waiting to sample some of the blueberry peach cobbler I made! Here are pictures! More to come later! http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawk%20Mechanics%20August%2021%20Pawleys%20Porch/
