  1. Don't you just LOVE it that you can leave your windows open now? Until that happens... sigh...
  2. Any chance of having the "quick reply" option I've often seen on sites like these at the bottom of every thread so I don't have to click "reply" at the end of a thread in order to reply? Just makes life much easier and I really use it a ton if it's available.
  3. Wow, NASTY weather!! Thank goodness you are BOTH okay. Yeah, it sucks that the bike is totalled but MUCH better than one of you being totalled, right? Sounds like you had an amazing couple stop to help you both. So glad you are both okay. So strange that you had your gear on when you normally don't, isn't it? Very cool.
  4. They fold up. They're rarely up, though, as Mike rarely goes anywhere on the bike without me. He works nights so doesn't really have time to do anything or go anywhere during the week and we go together on the weekends. They're a bit odd but it took hours to get to that point after three other tries of other things and I'd had enough by then. I may change to washers in the winter months when we can't get out on the bike and there's lots of time to tinker with things.
  5. We didn't remove the saddlebags to install the arm rests so I'm sure they're fine. We took the grab rails off, attached the arm rests, then put the grab rails back on. Mike tightened them up after I did so they should be good and tight. I always try to remember to check all nuts and bolts for tightness every few months but will keep a good eye on those bolts now that you've brought them to my attention, thanks.
  6. And as I already said, Mike wanted me to use them so I did. Some things are worth giving into so...
  7. No real reason.. filled space... I was going to cut them off or use washers or whatever but Mike wanted me to leave them so whatever. LOL It's unique, anyway.
  8. Thanks!
  9. Really? Are they nuts??? Last time we were out (in the car) we got behind someone doing 90 in a posted 110 zone. Every time a passing lane came, he went up to 120. Well, my little car can go and I do NOT like *******s who drive like that so next passing lane, I was by him but my god, what is the MATTER with people??? No wonder so many people get so freaking enraged on the roads.
  10. 3 and a wakeup? 4 and a wakeup? What the heck does that mean???
  11. Ah, so it's a common thing. Our speedo is a good 5 km/hr slow or more. Keeps us from getting tickets!
  12. Interesting. Mike drives a Freightliner, too, 2010 model, I believe. The A/C has never worked well and still doesn't. The plain Jane Volvos most of the others drive, the A/C is perfect. @Jayceesfolly: Wow, they put all that in the trucks for you? Awesome!!!
  13. Okey doke. Thanks. Just wondering as this isn't the first time I've seen this so thought I'd ask
  14. Just curious why no one uses the heel shifter? Mike's slowly getting used to it and it'll sure save his boots!!! (They're all scuffed from always using only the toe shifter) Just curious???
  15. Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!!!
  16. Pro Cycle seems to really know their stuff - they just charge a lot! I prefer to deal with Toad's but haven't had this bike need anything yet so we'll see. They were awesome with our Honda Shadow. Nice!!! If you come down this way, our doors are always open!!
  17. Not adjustable enough. He felt much, much better without a backrest at all. He doesn't lean back when he drives, either, which probably makes a difference.
  18. Oh!!!
  19. LOL!!! So we sold our Honda yesterday Got what we wanted for it so that's great. Got my armrests from Diamond R Friday and got them installed. They're great. Got something rigged up for my boards (passenger) so that I basically have highway pegs as a passenger. I can put my feet out to cool them off in the breeze as well as basically have more room to have different positions for my feet to help shift around as we go. So now I'm all set!!! Thanks for everyone's patience helping me figure things out, where to get stuff, etc. We went for a seven hour ride yesterday and it was AWESOME!! Beautiful weather and, now that I have all my accessories, cool feet! It was great!! My back was bugging me, too, without the armrests for support, especially in rough areas, so I'm happy now!!
  20. Looks like it's not the original windshield - is it a special type or anything like that? What's wrong with the antennas?? That's not the standard backrest, either, is it? So someone put a bit of money into it somewhere along the line. Around here, it would sell for about $11,000 but the price drops as soon as you hit Quebec/Ontario to about $9,000. Check your local Craig's list, see what's around, check local dealerships, then price it in the middle somewhere and you should be good to go.
  21. Wow, that looks like a blast!! Lucky you guys!! Thanks for sharing!
