  1. In Firefox 6.1, the instructions say to go here to clear cache: "Options/Privacy/History"
  2. Me, too.
  3. That's why I was sure to get the 32 bit version. I don't know if you can still get it or not but I hate this 64 bit crap as so much of my software wouldn't work, either. Whenever I get a new computer, I wipe it and put my own O/S on it, etc., etc so I'll be sticking to the 32 bit version as long as I can. Are you going under "Options/Privacy/History" and clearing that? If so, from what I just read, you ARE clearing your cache.
  4. Exactly. That's why I made sure to say: I've been using Windows 7 for a long time now and I love it. Firefox? Still using the old version as I've heard so many negative things about the new version. I use Opera as my main browser, anyway, so Firefox is secondary. I rarely ever update my Windows versions, though, once they're installed unless they do a major upgrade in a package type thing. I use "new posts" for the day when I browse 99.9% of the time so if someone posts something in any of the threads/categories I want to know about, I'll know it right away. I love that feature!!!
  5. So this is what it's supposed to look like, correct?
  6. Makes sense to me. Everyone is always harping at me to upgrade this or that on my computer but hello? It works. It does everything I need it to do so why screw with it? Newer is NOT always better - as many on here should know driving bikes 20 years or so old!!
  7. Hopefully she won't ride out of her comfort zone again no matter who she's with or what they want. People who ask others to ride in places/ways they are uncomfortable with really tick me off. You should always respect other's limits, especially with a brand new driver (basically). I'm so glad she was all right and is riding again. Sounds like you've made a really good friend who loves bikes as much as you do. You sure do work a lot and travel a lot. Glad you can get out and relax when you get home and nothing better than doing it with a friend.
  8. I'm surprised people who post ads don't keep a copy at home on their computer so, if the ad expires, it's quick and easy to repost it. If you used to let us know when an ad was about to expire and you could click a button to renew it, I'd definitely prefer that system. That way, if it's sold, no problem. If it's not and you were just busy or whatever, you make sure it's out there for anyone who's interested.
  9. The leaves are already changing around here!! It's been down to almost 50 a few times at night but it's still holding in the 70s and up in the daytime so not cool here yet. I love a cool fall - cool nights, really warm days. Perfect!! It's 68 this morning and going to rain for a few days with wind - from the tropical storms heading past off the coast. Definitely been cooler than usual this summer but I'm not complaining - I love fall best of all.
  10. For those of us new to this whole thing, what would be involved? What are you looking for? Etc., etc.
  11. Wow, oh, my god, I hope your home makes it. Make sure to stay safe and get out if you have to. We'll be thinking about you. Thanks for letting us know. Ouch!
  12. We're only going down for the day but plan to leave as early as we can get everything ready as it's a three hour drive going full out on the highway all the way down. :cool10: If anyone else is going or would like to meet us partway or anything like that, drop me an email or post here or call us (number on profile). Weather's looking great for tomorrow. Haven't been since 2009 so hopefully it'll be a blast. For anyone not sure what Wharf Rat Rally is, here's a link: http://www.wharfratrally.com/2010schedule/Home.aspx And here's a link to some pics we took in 2009 when we went: http://s29.photobucket.com/albums/c253/bjdobson/Motorcycle%20pics/Sep%205%202009%20Wharf%20Rat%20Rally/
  13. You live alone? No one got the bill and told you about it? They cut you off because you were late ONCE??? That's nuts. Absolutely nuts. And now they'll probably charge you a reconnection fee, too. Sigh. Go to the media. Make a stink. That's ridiculous!!!!
  14. That'd be AWESOME!!! So much closer for us!!! Of course, the Maritimes would be even better but we can't have everything!! If you are going to have it in Ontario, though, might I suggest the END of June rather than the beginning? It was damn cold here and wet, wet, wet, this June - miserable biking weather. It's July before it gets really warm in these parts.
  15. Uhm... wow!!!! Damn that's nice!!! Adjustable passenger foot boards, bright, bright headlight, comes in black, red and white, heated seats and grips, 26.25" seat height, trunk, hard bags, cruise, 1731 cc, SIX speeds!!! 12V adapter SUPPLIED... damn!!! I want one!!!!!!
  16. I don't watch unless we're in a really tense situation where things are a bit chaotic, which is very rare. I relax, put in my ear plugs/headphones and enjoy my music. If we're on a poker run or something, I help navigate if it's unfamiliar territory but, for the most part, I just let him make all the decisions.
  17. If you're flying, you MUST have a passport. If you're walking or driving, many are still getting away with a birth certificate and a valid photo ID. They won't allow it forever, though, so you should get your passport. If you're flying, no way you're getting on a plane without a passport.
  18. Ahhhh... too bad it can't work with one and you could tell it to not be an option for the others. Oh, well, it was a thought. Thank you for letting me know.
  19. Ah.. okay. I've seen this so often I figured it was kind of a standard thing but if it messes up the site, not worth it then. I used it probably 99% of the time I'm kind of efficient that way.
  20. So, Freebird, any chance of this option being incorporated?
  21. We'd love to go but it's well over 15 hours just to get to Ontario from here!!
  22. 'Cause they can. Simple. It's frustrating and annoying as heck but that's just the way it is. That's definitely the truth. Bikes are much, much cheaper in the US than in Canada. Same with cars. Even with duty and crap we have to pay at the border, it's often cheaper to buy from the US. Bikes are flooding the market right now. It's a buyers market and if you want a good price you should wait until spring. We were VERY lucky to sell our bike for a decent price. People are selling their bikes now for dirt cheap and it's hard to get a good price.
  23. I don't know you well but I do know your comments are always worth reading for one reason or another I hope your health improves and you feel better soon. It's a shame you cannot ride any more but I'm sure many here would love to see you when you're able to and hope you don't stop posting completely when your health allows. Take care and good luck. Be well!!!
  24. Exactly. It gives me multiple positions for my feet. I like it. I put my feet sideways oftentimes to get the breeze on my feet and give them a different position.
  25. Yes, I know that... but in MANY threads, I am just adding a comment on the bottom, not directed at any specific reply so the quick reply would be very, very convenient.
