  1. Seriously??? Wow. Those engineers can definitely be a snotty lot. Thanks for nothing? Did he ever fix it?
  2. @Barend: I am NOT from the USA. I am from Canada, thank you very much. I did not insist on the like button nor did I rant and rave about it, I just requested it and left it up to Don. Over react much??? I type for a living and am on computers all the time so, for me, if it's inefficient and there's a more efficient way to do things, I would prefer that. When you're paid according to how fast you type, you tend to want everything quick and efficient. If that's a horrible fault and something you cannot understand, that's fine but please don't belittle me because I requested a feature on the board, the key word being request. I had completely forgotten about the "rate this thread" button and didn't think anyone used it, actually. Just FYI.
  3. I honestly don't understand what you did. Screen shots would be SO helpful here. Sometimes I'm really dense. Please???
  4. Ah, I see. Okay. I don't have that button as I have 50 posts per page but it doesn't take you back to the board so... Thanks.
  5. Yes, that is the like button. I'm talking about what Condor said above:
  6. No, I don't see anything. Attached 's what I see at the bottom right of your message. I don't see an arrow anywhere.
  7. I wasn't reading it on my mobile - I just replied from my mobile (I just installed Tapatalk and wanted to see how well it works. I like it!). I still can't find the button.
  8. Is it possible for you to show me this button of which you speak using a screen shot? I can't figure that out. sorry. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
  9. Thank you!!!!!!!! http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c253/bjdobson/gifs/Thank%20you/cc_thx.gif
  10. Oh, no, no, no!!! I didn't mean it that way at all and, yes, I know you already addressed the quick reply option, I was just explaining my reasoning, that's all. I definitely appreciate all you do on this board, Freebird, and have no problem with the decision, I just tend to over-explain myself sometimes, that's all. Sorry if I upset you, that wasn't my intention, I wasn't complaining, just explaining.
  11. Thanks and like are not the same thing. If you think they are, it's your board, that's fine. I don't want anything posted to Facebook. Thanks for letting me know. Still, without a "quick reply", it's "reply" then click whatever you want there, then "post" then back three pages to go back to the board. To me, that's a lot of clicks. I'm on a computer all day and I type for a living. To have to go through all that just to say thanks, to ME, isn't worth it.

  13. Any possibility of a "like" button on here? Or a "thumbs up" "thumbs down"? I find it a really helpful feature, like the thanks but not quite the same, and it keeps the forum from being cluttered with "good post" and such. So many times I've seen posts and thought, "Great post!" but "thanks" wasn't really appropriate and "reply" and then clicking a smiley then "post" then back three times to get back to the forum is, frankly, too much to be bothered with just to say "good post". Just a thought.
  14. I really doubt the last two posters would have missed the cassette deck had it been replaced with a satellite radio or a CD player, etc.
  15. Rest and heal well and quickly. Glad it's fixed and you're taken care of.
  16. Awesome!!!!
  17. Best of luck with your surgery. I hope your vision is basically back to normal within two months.
  18. Reallllly purdy!!! :happy34:
  19. Sounds like a perfect ride to me!!
  20. I love walking but not by myself... and there's not really anywhere special to walk around here unless you can drive first (Mike has the car every evening). Then winter comes and there's no way I'm walking outside most of the time because it's so freaking icy. After breaking my ankle last fall (not because of ice), I'm scared scared to fall major big time. There are times lately I really wished I lived somewhere where you can walk year round but I love winter so... I used to be in excellent shape, great weight, etc. Since Mike started working this schedule, I got out of the habit and can't seem to get back into it. We could definitely both use more exercise and a better diet and I'm always trying but it's really freaking difficult and gets harder every year.
  21. I hope you heeded the advice here and went to the ER and had your eye looked at. Fingers crossed it'll heal quickly and well so you can still drive again!! You picked that bike up by yourself? Ouch!! Get well soon!!!!
  22. :yikes:
  23. Serves you right!!!! LOLOL!!!!! Been there, done that, got the t-shirt!!!! I actually have some extra stuff persistently in my saddle bags - lightweight jacket, rainsuit, lightweight jacket, face mask, heavy gloves, etc. -- the benefits of owning a Venture with lots of room. Mike actually seems to be fine when I'm freezing my BUTT off!!! Once that sun goes down, BOY does it cool off FAST!!!! You have a Venture, maybe you should chuck some extra gear somewhere and keep it with you until next summer? Long underwear folds up really small but sure helps a LOT if you need it!!!!
  24. Unfortunately, most run into a lot of that just about everywhere. It's great when you run into people who are just out to enjoy bike riding and don't care what type of bike you ride. I have had Harley owners (many of them, actually) who will frankly say that, if you cannot do ANY work on a bike yourself, you shouldn't own a Harley as they require more "tinkering" than most bikes to keep them running perfectly. I've never owned one so I have no personal experience with one. Just passing on what I've heard from fellow bikers I know (most of whom do NOT have the "Harley attitude", by the way ).
