No problem, I just didn't think this was the intent of VentureRider.Org.
-
I'm fine with membership in this website, bongo bob. Pardon me for inquiring. It just seemed to me that we were getting a little mean spirited.
-
Is this VentureRider.Org?
-
Along with some other greats...........Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Croce, Ottis Redding, George Harrison, etc. Too bad they couldn't have contributed more.

I know; another post, but

In any event, Gunny, good to see you posting again. What you need is a good long trip to break it in. Head this way for a "break-in" ride. Then back home. It'll purr like a kitten. Just needs to be ridden'. -
Those of you who tried it would say it tastes like...?

Had my Utopia backrest a couple of years now. Love it. It didn't come with the lock nut, and I haven't needed it.

Now you can route your passenger's audio cable up to the backrest, and make it much easier for them to plug in to.

Although it may be hard to believe, the weight of that heavy, dark, suffocating cloud will ease with time. Just keep yourself going - keep looking ahead.

"Snarly" Bill - was that really you?
-
Very impressive, Owen. You did a good job.

Honest officer, it's an "empty", not an "open container". That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
-
Hopefully it wil stay that way, but I believe it is only a matter of time before some juvenile starts messing with Mac systems.

Hard drives are only good for a few years. And if you believe Murphey's Law, they only crash when they are the fullest (think about that the next time you spec a 60 gig hard drive). Perhaps some day we will get a reliable solid state memory system that makes spinning discs obsolete. (Impossible - think 45 rpm records to MP3). Anyway, welcome back Chief. We need help loading TDU weights.

How does that leave a "carbon footprint" ?

Well, you sure started off negative. I was wondering if you bought the bike sight unseen. Butler makes a mod to the seats that have gotten very good reviews. You might check his ad in the classified section on this web site. The leveling link I can recommend. It dramatically improves low speed handling. High RPMs at highway speed - these 4 cylinder engines like to rev, compared to a twin. But in overdrive (5th) at 70 mph mine seems quite comfortable. Hope you get to fix it up to suit you. Here's hoping for many happy miles.

They are persistent. We have had many a good laugh at campsites where unaware campers have left their stuff out on a picnic table while they went for a walk. Racoons even figured out how to get into coolers to get at the groceries. Randy, hope you don't run out of cookies.

I share your pride. My youngest will be graduating from Basic Combat Training in the Army on May 8th. From there he will go to airframe mechanic school.

So........did ya do a wheelie?
-
Here's hoping for a successful outcome, Don.

Evan, Amsoil makes a sythetic oil for motorcycles. Did you use that product, or the Amsoil for cars? Amsoil for cars will make shifting a little harder if used in a bike.

Bill's bike does have a reverse. He's got a Wing.

It's always nice to have a choice. I owned a Goldwing and put many miles on it. I find the Venture to be much more comfortable (my wife - riding partner - disagrees). I think it's more a matter of what we enjoy, not what we think is best. For the sheer pleasure of enjoying a trip, I prefer 2 wheels. In other words, enjoy the bike and don't fued over who made it.
-
Congratulations on the new Goldwing. But Eck,....ole' buddy......you're gonna miss the Venture. Glad to see are doing well.

Sorry to hear of your mishap, Dave. Glad you are OK.
