I agree when giving your hard earned money you must be diligent in researching the organizations. I love to give but only when I know my money is going to who I want to help. This of course excludes the IRS which I wish I could opt out of. No luck so far:doh:

Does it seem to run ok from a cold start then once warm it gets bad?

After I left this years rally my friends and I went around the north shore of Lake Superior. The Canadians were a great bunch and turned us on to great places to stay and excellent food. It was more expensive than the states but I would go back especially for an IR.

I just got rid of a jeep with close to 300k it still runs good, my brother bought it from me and he loves it. It has the 4.0 we never had any major problems with it. The most expensive repair was the heater core.

Great job organizers!! I brought 3 friends with me and they were very Impressed with the resort, the organization, and the people who make up the Ventureriders. Looks like 2 more members are joining and if we can get Larry to get a computer a possible third. Great times, Great people!! Thanks again!

All ribbing aside, what was the deciding factor or factors that made you decide on a HD Roadglide Ultra? I'm looking to buy probably next spring and am tossing up between that one and the Vic CCT. I'm sure a lot of thought went into your decision so just curios of what put the HD at the top of the list.

After all the IR fun is over I was going to take the Northern route around Lake Superior then down through the UP MI back to Ohio. I have never been in this area so any advice on points of interests, good campgrounds, places to avoid, if the northern lights are visible this time of year? I am also wondering how populated is the area? Will we have trouble finding places to eat or gas? Thank you in advance!

I really love the Blue!! My brother has a Road Star and I got to ride it about 100 miles last Sunday and he rode my RSV. I love the torque of the 1700 twin and the rumble. Comfort was good (Mustang seat, Barons spring) a little vibration but less than I expected. I don't think I would trade but if I always rode solo, maybe. As for his impressions of the RSV... He will be looking for a touring bike in the next couple years. Cruise, radio, seat, fairing, and passenger comfort just sells itself.
