You could try to find a good deal on a used trailer, use it to pull your stuff south, then sell it once you're down there. Maybe you make a few bucks, maybe you break even:mo money:

I agree that the Wing is the most well thought out touring machine and I think the new BMW GTL is right there with it. I just don't care for the styling. I feel the same as SilvrT that it feels like a two wheeled Civic. You could not go wrong with a Honda for reliability

Welcome to the forum! The front Com plug should have a dust plug in it. The rear should be located on the left side mounted on the rear fender between the side bag and the trunk. If you search headsets you will get an abundance of info and opinions. If you really want to save some cash and have some fun, pay the $12 membership:mo money: it will pay for itself over and over.

The two things I've heard negative about the Kawasaki Voyager is that the tour bags aren't very good quality and the fuel mileage is only like 32-35. If it weren't for the fuel mileage it would be a major contender as I think it is a beautiful machine. I have rode the Victory CCT and was very impressed with the handling, power was good, and the electronics are great. I do have a question about riding a BMW. If I stop off for a Beer do they put an umbrella in it??

Oh I've been following your threads. I even had a pic of your Ural in the snow in front of a Taco Bell as a screen saver for a while. The nearest dealer is almost 100 miles away but I'm going to check them out. They look like a blast

I really like the GtL's amenities and comfort. I just can't get excited about the styling. The same goes for the Goldwing and I feel bunched up on the Honda. The downside to the HD for me would be the fact that the twin cooling is new to HD and I'd like to see the bugs worked out first and they quit production on the Road Glide Ultra which would have been my first pick. I have considered keeping the RSV and getting a second bike. If I did this it would be a tough choice but would be between a Super Tenere or a FJR. In these categories I still prefer Yamaha

This has got me thinking... Especially this winter I could have racked up some major snow miles.

I'm getting that itch for a new bike. I've been looking at all the newest models and I can't get excited about any of them. I guess if I had to decide tomorrow it would be between the new HD Ultra Limited, BMW GTL, Victory CCT, or the Indian Chieftain. All these bikes have thing I like and points I'm not crazy about. Just curious what the rest of you guys and gals have been considering. To be clear, I love my Venture but I'm always looking ahead and Yamaha is falling behind. Also I am cheap so chances are my next bike will probably not be new but for arguments sake lets keep it to new models, 2014..
