I really think Harley wants to take the Vrod power plant and start using it in their baggers.the Road Glide would be a good niche for a trial. A lot of Harley guys say they don't want a l/cooled bike let them get blown away by one a couple times and they will look way more attractive. As far as the Venture goes my wet dream is a New Vmax engine Detuned to around 140hp fi fixed fairing, heated grips and seat, and a 6th gear

Leveling Links on Pinwall?
Wade 2000 replied to Wade 2000's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Gotcha, Thanks! I'm sure somebody knows if Ponch had his bike raised or lowered in the rear. The pics of the bike doesn't look like its lower but I'm not confident enough to pull the trigger and order the bracket -
Leveling Links on Pinwall?

I have bought from Pinwall also a few times, very happy with them. So you are saying the longer the length the lower the bike?? -
Looking on eBay and came across this Monoshock which seems to have non factory links. By the pics it looks like its off of Ponches bike. Does anyone know if he had leveling links or a lowering kit? Or maybe someone can tell by looking at it. Thanks. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=200688093797&globalID=EBAY-US

They say 56 tomorrow and 66 Saturday. I would rather go riding but I gotta get shingles on the new garage. I know it's the wrong time of year to be doing roofing but I'm thanking God for the window to getter done. Glad you're taking advantage! Have fun for me!

I can do that completely by accident and play it off like I meant to:whistling:

Best Accessory Update for 1st Gen (cosmetic and otherwise)

Can't we stop the fussin an feuding?? The best improvement would be a Third Gen with the style of a second and handling and performance of a First gen. Just a thought a new Vmax engine in a touring platform?? Heated seat and grips? And to complete the package a cassette player:stickpoke: -
I too see a lot more Victorys on the road. I like their V-twin, lotsa power right there with ours, ease of servicing, smooth power delivery, six speed, fuel injection, runs cool (temp). I would like to see a cross breed between that Vision and an Indian. Would you call it a futuristic-throwback??

I put the 15 Led run/brake light mounted under the trunk. I went with the red lens and it blends right in most people don't notice it till it's on. And oh yea I get tons of compliments on that red. Gonna add some accent LEDs this spring
-
Great!!looks like mine. You actually were the first person to invite me to this site. We met in Daytona you put some LEDs on my buds RSTD a couple years ago. Thanks and enjoy your 2nd gen:sign killer dude:

Awesome lights I wish we could light up the RSV like that. Best part is it looks like something the factory could have done not like you just hung a bunch of crap off it:sign green with env

Biker and Horse accident LA.
Wade 2000 replied to playboy's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
That is a frightening sight coming around a curve and a horse is in the road. Last year somewhere between Athens Oh and Rio Grande within 10 miles we came across 3 horses in the road! Fortunately we were able to stop in time. Guess it could have gone real bad -
Looks like you get over pretty good! But I think I'll stay with the oval sticky

2007 Yamaha Royal Star Midnight Venture
Wade 2000 replied to Robby's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I second that all RSV's have intercom and CB . Make for sure you get the cassette player a definite must have -
Awesome! I have around 27000 on my RSV and my ridn bud has 67000 on his RSTD. I guess we got some miles to put down. If only I could ride to work, my 99 Chevy truck has 440,000. Does anyone make a ladder rack for the venture

Finally coughed up the $12 in support of this site that has saved myself and my ridin buddies literally hundreds of dollars in tech support. I've met several members on my voyages and in person they are just as helpful, fun, and friendly. I hope to attend some of your events and contribute to the conversation online. Thanks!
